Comments (3)You can make a scuff mark cleaner with a tennis ball and a broom handle. I looked at painted stairs in Houzz and I like the brown step/white riser look. You will want a semi-gloss paint for durability no matter what color you use, but I like the idea of risers that match the color of the basement walls. Wall color does not have to be white to bounce limited light. Any pastel (which includes pale beige and gray) will do the trick. Comments (4)Thank you both! I’ve looked up the Cloud White and done some further reading on undertones which helped clear things up a bit for me on what’s happening. The bulb suggestion is helpful too - I had no idea where to start. Patricia I’m with you on the flooring. I’d love to change the carpet (and ceiling and more) but this is my parents house. Our family business is directly tied to Broadway, which isn’t looking so hot and will probably remain that way till at the earliest spring of next year. In the meantime I’m privileged enough to be able to ride out the storm with them, living here, and the paint is a quick freshen up of my new temporary digs. None of us are ready to invest in a big project like flooring until we know what the future of our industry (and our income) looks like. But, in a perfect world, I’d have had the carpet gone before moving in :) I’ve attached a photo of the offending (really, it’s old basement classic bad) carpet in case it helps. The real answer is probably it won’t matter what color I go with, the carpet is the culprit and I’ll need to grin and bear it....See MoreNeed help with paint colors in basement bathroom remodel!!
Comments (0)I am looking for help to find paint colors for our bathroom remodel. I am planning on using Adura luxury vinyl tile flooring, the color is Graffiti Patina, in my small basement bathroom. We are going for an industrial style. The floor color contains both dark brown and grays which I think will go well with both our cream toilet and sink and white shower. Any paint color recommendations to match the flooring? We are going for a split/2-tone look like this, with a dark floor, medium shade paint color for the bottom half of the wall, and a light off-white shade for the top half of the wall. Any help is much appreciated! Also any real world photos of the Graffiti Patina flooring would be helpful as well!...See MoreUser
