A Question About Buying Non-Stick Cookware: Is any of it safe????
Comments (34)Pecan: Thanks for the update. I'm disappointed as well. I thought we could have lunch at Sample House, which is close-ish to the Moss Farm fields, if that's where you might have had your tournament. It's a sweet little shop that sells gift items and kitchen things, Crocs, baby gifts, candles, gift wrap, cute pet stuff and lots of other unusual things. It's a fun place to wander around. They have a little restaurant called the Soup Shop in the store that's open from 11-2 every day (except Sundays). Lake Highlands High School seems like another soccer tournament location, but I know that there are fields everywhere (I've been to most of them). Keep me posted if your plans change. Thank you. Fly: Someone told me that Hormel is making nitrate-free lunch meat. This friend also told me that Monsanto "invented" sodium nitrate, which is a preservative, and that Monsanto knows this substance causes cancer, but Monsanto makes so much money off of sodium nitrate that it does everything possible to make certain that it stays on the market. Comments (13)@ larsi Seriously! I think Tide is engaging in a little bit of deception. I think all of their formulas are essentially very similar to one another. For instance, only some of their products contained the "Acti-Lift" logo on the cap, yet I read a response from P&G in their own review forum that stated all products contain "Acti-Lift" even though they may not have the logo or term anywhere on the bottle. I think this "Advanced Clean" is basically the same thing - an existing product made to look like it's been reformulated. P&G does this to stimulate sales. Consumers think it's a new and better formulation, so they are more inclined to buy it and try it. I think this is misleading and shady....See Morecomposite deck / bleach mold cleaning recommendations negligent
Comments (10)Yo Ken, if your still around your up on this one. Far as Composites go I am with the Larry/whoever We are for the most part. Composites are really no longer using recycled material because there is just not enough of it so most of the raw stuff is virgin, the energy used to make composite is an enviro no no, when its time to remove the project composite is not real big on bio degrade its tricky to burn shreading it would be silly. Bottom line composites are not so enviro freindly. Info like that might suggest its not all that good to clean it either, with anything. I dont agree>> composites will out last Ipe, left to go silver/gray Ipe is as close to no maintance as a person can get. With the softer composites like Choice/MoistureShield even trex= tjunk I have found a coat or two of TWP 116 seals up the decking, locks in the color and keeps mold, mildew, stains from causing major problems. Of course not needing to do this is the reason the Wallet goes for composite in the first place. I my own self dont like composites at all for the reasons stated in several posts here and on other sites. Welcome aboard Larry!!! Sorry I dident understand your intent at the begining . Comments (47)Pat, Thank You for asking, Tims throat is so swollen the doctors advised soft food only to prevent choaking but he's not eating anyway, he's on a antibotic and steroid to shrink the swelling and both of his ears are infected again. He did have the tubes in his ea rs but they fell out a few years ago, its time to put them back in..he's going to get his tonsils and adnoids out and new tubes in his ears, I just don't want this done over the holidays. .Chip isn't nearly as sick but he's also on antibotics. Surprisingly knock on wood this didn't bring on a grand can't get control asthma attacks. I don't have to disinfect with Chlorine Bleach their bedding until they've been on antibotics 3 full days, but tomorrow is their bed washing day so I'll do it than and again Wednesday, and than Sunday lol. Urgicare told me they are swamped with kids with strep in my boys school district. I only really have to disinfect the bedding 2 time thru strep treatment but I always do at least 3 ..I also give them new toothbrushes several times thru treatment a toothbrush will hold the bacteria and reinfect them The only thing I hate about chlorine bleach is the 2 full fill rinses, other than that I'm not against using the stuff, it comes in very handy at times lol. I started a post once I think it was titled....how dare detergents say with oxy...something like that because I just can't understand myself, its either in there or it isn't. I seen Powdered Sun detergent once that said Sun detergent with Bleach, I haven't run across it again but I'll bet there's no bleach in it. You take care Pat...Thank you dear....See MoreUser
