11 years agoThe beach and weather are great so far but the mosquitoes are just crazy bad because of all the rain from the storm. This is one I killed in the rv. They swarm you as soon as you step outside.

Recent trip to Japan, sashimi presentation. It was squid, scallops and one other fish. (No, I don't eat it.)
11 years agoI finally found a flag I like, so I tied it to our balcony. Can't find a pole and brackets to attach it to the railing and we don't want to mount anything to the brick. This works though.

Look what I found today: a Monarch butterfly caterpillar. I put it in a vase with some milkweed and hope to observe the metamorphosis. Or rather I hope it will "do its thing" so my grandkids can see.
