Comments (14)My Roguchi clematis is blooming too, but it isn't very happy in the location and gets mildew. Love the purple and white, murraysmom. Stunning! Wish the darned oxalis wasn't so invasive. I used a different species around a potted tree once. It was "safe" until I decided to plant the tree in the ground. 11 years agoThe beach and weather are great so far but the mosquitoes are just crazy bad because of all the rain from the storm. This is one I killed in the rv. They swarm you as soon as you step outside.

Recent trip to Japan, sashimi presentation. It was squid, scallops and one other fish. (No, I don't eat it.)
11 years agoI finally found a flag I like, so I tied it to our balcony. Can't find a pole and brackets to attach it to the railing and we don't want to mount anything to the brick. This works though.

Look what I found today: a Monarch butterfly caterpillar. I put it in a vase with some milkweed and hope to observe the metamorphosis. Or rather I hope it will "do its thing" so my grandkids can see.
