Normal. The flowers have done their work; and the BB size green thing at the bottom of the white pistil is the newly formed fruit. The remains of the flower will soon fall off or you can brush them off, or shake them off, if you prefer.

Zooming in on your photo, I'd say it's not normal. I live in the very hot desert, where peaches do surprisingly well, as they tend to take the extreme heat without burning or drying out. I do not have Georgia Belles, but the immature peaches on my tree have never had that mottled look on the skin that your young fruit seems to have, as if it has indeed dried out. You've got nothing to loose by leaving it there, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for a big juicy Georgia Belle like those we used to get when I lived in Virginia. Has the tree had sufficient water since the time the fruit set up?

Geez, I just reread my original post and I have to say..Whats up with the attitude Ken_Adrian? LOL . If we wanted instant gratification we would have put up a fence. We planted these because they match the mature forsythia we already have and they are supposed to grow fast. I acknowledged I could not get more mature ones mid summer last year and admitted I got ‘babies’ from Lowes AND stated that they had already grown quite a bit. My question was whether the bent branches on two of the plants were normal or perhaps an indication of some sort of issue. BTW, 20 years ago I planted (myself) 75 - 3’ tall arborvitae and patiently waited for them to mature to a natural green privacy hedge. Sadly, we no longer live with them. We are now waiting for the forsythia to fill in..heck I did not even ask how long it would take for them to fill in….I just wanted to make sure they appear healthly as two were not upright like the other. J

I would think there is some curing time involved that may even out. But I think it looks nice. Maybe you are being over critical. Stand back 20' feet and it will look better than up close.
