We got the EI23BC51, I think it was, a couple of months ago. Counter depth French door with no ice or water on the door. We haven't had any problems with it. I was worried because some people said it had difficulty holding its temperature, but we've had a fridge thermometer sitting on the shelf since day one and it's always been right where it should be, and right where the fridge's built-in thermostat said it was. We avoided external ice/water partly because we don't like them, and partly because regardless of brand that always seems to be the first thing that goes on the fritz in a refrigerator. In fact, we didn't even hook up the icemaker in the freezer because we didn't feel like we needed it (and we haven't--we have no problem making a new tray of ice every few days, that way it's fresh). So right there we avoided probably 80% of what people who complain about their E-lux fridges are complaining about, so maybe we're not representative, but we haven't had any problems and the salesman told us--as between the E-lux he was selling us and the KA 72" that he also had for sale and we were also considering--that if there ever WERE a problem, he would rather be dealing with Electrolux. (Apparently if you have a problem under warranty, this appliance store deals with E-lux for you, and he said they were easier to deal with than KA.) Hearing that from a salesman who had both fridges for sale--i.e., he was going to make money off me no matter which one I bought--was very reassuring.

deirdref: Thanks for the link - I've been there already (that's how I found out the Wave touch has 3 baskets and the IQ has 2 freezer baskets). I guess I didn't pay attention to the other details like the "cool zone" and "perfect temp drawer" because I'm so focused on the freezer compartment. I'm going to have to speak to my contact at Electrolux (she said I can call her anytime) again and double check on the configuration of both freezers. If the specs say they have the same volume, I wonder if she was wrong when she told me the wave touch was configured differently in the freezer to give it more room than the IQ model. I'd love to see them both side by side. The rebate we got was not with Sears - it was through Electrolux so anyone could apply for it no matter where they buy their appliances as long as it is within the time period that Electrolux stated on the rebate form. Didn't the store you bought it at tell you? With the first offer, you had to buy before June 12th and the second rebate offer was between June 13th or 15th until the 30th. I qualified for the second and just mailed in my form to Electrolux (I had until August 10th to mail it but the purchase date had to be between the dates I mentioned). I also got a better price than what Sears was offering becuase I went to other several stores and Sears did a price match. When did you purchase your appliances and how many did you buy?

I'm glad I found this thread. We just had our Electrolux E30MC75JSS Icon Designer Series combination oven installed last week. We couldn't figure out why our food was not getting properly cooked. we bought an oven thermometer and found out the indicated temps are wildly off. 350* indicated is actually 295*, 450* indicated is actually 375*, 550 indicated is actually 445* (105* off). Yes, we gave it at least 30 minutes to warm up, we even used the "Rapid Preheat" button. I have order two more oven thermometers from Amazon to verify this BS before I contact Electrolux. This is a $3600.00 oven and my hope is that it's simply defective and not a design flaw. This temperature discrepancy has rendered this oven completely unusable. I do not have a good feeling about getting Electrolux to acknowledge and respond to this. Should this be unreparable or a defective design, then there are the issues of who is going to cover Re-installation and shipping costs. I am not happy. GLE18, I believe you have the same oven. If your rolling racks do not stay out, it is probably an installation issue where they did not properly shim the back of the oven. We had the same issue, those racks roll very easily and the oven has to be perfectly level.
