This last and final one. This plant just had some yellowing of the caudex skin. That spot is a little soft. Bust other than that overall looks and feels good. This was the last seedling I decided to cut back. I'm almost positive that the last two are salvageable. It's the first three I'm really worried about. When I found them I was screaming mad. I'm surprised none of you saw the explosion from where you live. These are my first set of seedlings and it happened in a matter of three days. Oooh yeah and I had looked at them the night before. I guess just not close enough and it was dark and I was tired. But those are just excuses. Yeah I'm still kinda upset. I'm determined to recover as many as possible. I realized that if I can get them back it just adds an interesting character to the plant. My goal was 1 out of 10 when I got them. But I've done so well with them. I changed that goal to 10 of 10. I probably should add the first four were reported this past weekend and the last one was repotted the weekend before and I watered them yesterday after finding them due to the fact they were bone dry. Root rot really never crossed my mind since they were bone dry. Sorry for the multiple posts and thanks again for taking the time to read and reply to my posts.

Is it fragrant? What zone are you? Is this one bush or several?

Um, we were talking about rules on another thread and whilst I feel rules are often there to be broken, I do attempt to follow a vague rule of thumb when it comes to moving, dividing or mucking about with plants...and that is - everything which flowers before midsummer can be easily moved in autumn...while plants which are late to flower (after21st June) are best left till spring. While some plants might be impervious (hemerocallis|), asters are usually unhappy to be meddled with in autumn - although I will make an exception if they are actually in full growth...as I have no qualms about lifting plants at the height of their bloom season...when they can click over back into root and vegetative growth when flowering growth is cut back. So...I would be moving the hibiscus (syriacus?) as soon as leaf break occurs in May.

Thank you for all the great responses! We have decided to paint the walk-in pantry door and the surounding trim to match the cabinets. I have a blinds company coming today to see what we can do about the kitchen window. Most likely taking those shutters down and replacing it with something that will coordinate with the white cabinets (roman shades, woven wood shades, ??) and soon-to-be painted white trim around the kitchen window (palladium). Or...can I get by with having the window, shutters, pantry door cream and cabinets and crown white?? Unfortunately, painting all the trim in our house right now is unrealistic. Our house is 4000+ sq ft with lots of trim, mouldings, etc. This new kitchen is way over my budget right now and replacing all the cream shutters in my house will cost me as much as my cabinet cost! Here is a picture of what I'm up against: The windows, shutters, and doors are the same cream color as the fluted trim. The previous owner painted some of the baseboards white as well as columns to the family room. The rest are cream. I don't think it is possible to paint the shutters due to it's material. I will see what the blinds guy says. SO...next question...if I do paint and change out the window treatment to the new white kitchen, what do I do with the breakfast area? Leave it cream still? Change the shutters to something that matches the kitchen like roman shades or something at the doors? The french doors are cream as well but can be painted. All three rooms (kitchen, breakfast and family room) all flow into each other.
