Thank you, funnelweb & Remy, for replying. Funnelweb, No, it hasn't flowered. It's just green. Remy, I know that the Spring wild flowers I've seen in our yard seem to show up mostly in Spring, and flower. I've not seen this at all, until it popped up a few weeks ago. it has nice leaves, so I was hoping it would be something that would give nice little flowers at some point. If it is Creeping Charlie, I guess it'll just be green as it is, now. The leaves on it are suddenly whitening a bit. Don't know why. Perhaps as they age they do that? Thought I'd mention in incase that were any indication of whether it is CC or something else.

I actually have that in my profile, and I'm unsure as to why it's not showing up on my posts. (I don't see preferences to show/hide it.) jadie88, I was searching for variegated Solomon's Seal last summer but had no luck finding it. And this year I decided I want to try red astilbe with some lighter-colored hostas to brighten up some areas between bushes. I don't have a lot of money to spend because I'm starting my raised-bed vegetable garden this year. But I do still need to add to my gardens out front. I planted them last spring after buying my house in the fall. The front does get sun, but it's rather uneven; the right side gets more than the left due to the sizes of the trees in front. I didn't realize how much of a difference there was until I saw how the plants/flowers were growing. The impatients on the right side seemed to triple in size, while the left side did not get much larger at all! So now I must forget about having a symmetrical look out front and get to replanting. ken_adrian, I'm not sure what I was thinking! Of course, more hostas! I can't wait to read through this forum to get more ideas and become more educated on hostas! (My mom had hostas when I was growing up, but she was amazed as well when I showed her photos of some of the varieties!)

Do not hesitate to begin your own thread. It is the normal routine. More people will know you're here if you introduce yourself with a separate post, especially the other Canadians among us. Two ways of posting photos. First is the GardenWeb way, by using the "Image file to upload" box at the top of the posting window. You click the "Browse" and look for a single picture on your computer. Me LOVE pictures....we are all Picture Monsters. The other way is to create a photo account (free is good) at Flickr, Photobucket, etc, but they must give you the HTML CODE which is what you copy/paste into the post. Can't find it? Then someone will help you find its location. With this method, you may upload multiple images, not just one. Look forward to seeing your garden and your hosta. Have fun.

Tall scapes makes me say Regal Splendor. If it is forming seed pods, it is not Regal Splendor. It looks a little like Abba Dabba Do, which has average scapes, not real tall. It also could be Victory if it is huge. Victory scapes are about 4 or 5 feet, but they don't stand upright, they hang over. Dave
