I've got the summer hosta blues
Comments (17)Found another 'blue' earlier this evening--and taking this pic. at dusk really brought the blue out!! It looks really odd, with the 'Guardian Angel' leaves also in the pic. on the right! The clue, that the color was not tweaked to be more blue, is the edge of the leaf of 'Katie Q' at the upper right and a couple of the leaves of the daylillies! Dusk definitely had an effect on bringing out the 'blues', all over my garden!!! :o) Was really fun snapping pics. in that lighting!!...See MoreSummer Blues Porch T'scape (pic heavy)
Comments (10)Very lovely Jeanne...B&W was my first collecting passion. I love the crisp coolness of this setting. Funny, I've been thinking of doing a Tbscape, and like you, doing a Blue & White theme. I guess like you, must be the Summer Blues! I love the pattern and crackle finish of your plates. Your blue glasses and pretty napkins go perfectly. (nice finds). I like the grouping (very different) of your CP with the firepot and bird, with the blue Vase w/ Hydrangeas and stems off center..the woven mat sets it all of nicely. Everything looks very tranquil - peaceful and cool..also very inspiring..Thanks Jeanne! jane...See MoreEnd of Summer Blues Table
Comments (7)Nana, I like the table and it doesn't make me blue, just the shorter days and chilly nights. The blue color represents my feelings about the end of summer and with that the necessity of putting away my gazebos and outdoor furniture and outdoor decor, the dying of my flower garden and eventual coming of winter. Punk, I have had the gingham plates and the floral goblets for quite a while, just finally got around to using them in a tablescape. I have lots of fall and Halloween decor. I just need the mental acceptance of fall to get them out, LOL I'm still in deep denial. Thanks, Candy...See MoreI'm feelin the Summer Blues (fragrant that is)
