Gorgeous!

Here's one you won't see in the trade for a while, it's a 3rd year 'Hacksaw' OP seedling I call "Tousled Hair". It has great substance to its skinny leaves, a most unique growing habit and flowers that appear to be closed, unfortunately, which means it's unlikely to be of any use as a future breeder. I'm enjoying it for what it is however.

I deliberately uploaded the 2 pictures at high resolution to see, as an experiment, how houzz now handles higher resolution images. I realize they will be scaled for in-line use in the thread but I'm interested to see if you can view it at what resolution by clicking on the image. I know it'll still be scaled and I would like to know though if you then go to save that image to YOUR computer if it is the size of the file I originally uploaded or will it be scaled as well. I won't hijack this thread, I will post my findings as a new topic.

This is a common hosta but it is unique in my garden - I think this is called a fasciated scape? Rainforest Sunrise

That is quite the scape, Barb. Although more readily available like Ripple Effect, I would think Rainforest Sunrise unique because it doesn't look like other hostas except perhaps its sports. Perhaps I used the wrong adjective to describe what I was looking for...something that sets a hosta apart from others but not necessarily rare. Love Rainforest Sunrise, good choice. Thank you Irawon, I've been fascinated by photography since I was a teenager, and that's more than half a century ago. I've learned a thing or two over the years and it has certainly helped being married to someone who shares my interests, both in gardening and photography. Matter of fact, we first met while both working at a local camera store chain in 1970....

The Razor's Edge...long serrated pointy leafs on red pets..

Curly Fries...for obvious reasons...wasn't sure I's like it, but it's growing on me.

Marrakech.....long, pointy, and yellow

Alakazaam....a small one

Jaws....medium, but looks like a man eater

American Hero...the leaves uniquely turn and undulate.....can wait 'til it grows a little more to see what happens

Pieter, you are very lucky to be able to share your interests with your wife. Getting better at photography is something that interests me but life's events keep getting in the way. I was over at the other thread you started and can see that being able to see more detail would be beneficial in identifying noids.

I really don't have much in the way of unique, so I'll just post a new pic of Valentine Lace. Black/dark purple scapes are the most unique part.

Mbug, those are great examples of unique hostas. You've sold me on Marrakech and Curly Fries. I bought Alakaza am and American Hero last year and I'm looking forward to them bulking up like yours. You've really complemented your green hostas well, picking up the green in your variegated hostas and then a punch of colour with the blue or yellow. Great job.

Don, I really like Valentine Lace, the colour (looks aqua on my computer) and the purple scapes. The tiny leaves of Sweet Woodruff contrast nicely with the bolder leaves of the hosta.

Your Jimmy Crack Corn is really perky. You've set it off really well with the surrounding dark green.

mbug, Wheee! and American Hero have my vote. Nice hostas.

Jajoana, I hope the sport of Praying Hands stabilizes for you. I'd really like a piece of that. Your leaf shot of Wheee! is amazing. Curly Fries is looking good with the rounder, wider leafed hosta behind it. I think I can probably squeeze it in somewhere. Thanks for sharing.

I took this picture of Frosted Dimples at about 8:00 PM last night. I'm not very good at identifying hostas but this is one I have no trouble with.
