Hey Mark...will you be doing any pruning to your Liberty this year? Was wondering if I could get some scion wood? I know a lot of folks here have it, and maybe I'd be better off getting it from someone closer so it spends less time out of the cooler, but I can't remember who all has it. I was thinking of trading small quantities of Imidan 70WP for scions. I have more than I'll ever use (fresh, just got it) and a lot of folks here have expressed the desire to try it. The only hangup is I'm kinda worried someone may misplace the bottle and it gets mistaken for something else. For those with young children I probably wouldn't be comfortable with it. Let me know. BTW, I never have any issues with CM here (knocking on wood), but I spray a lot. My issues tend to be fungal and bacterial so the DR varieties should do well for me. I've heard enough great things about Liberty to want it, but enough so-so comments to preclude me from devoting space to a single tree. I have a seedling (now getting quite big) that I've been grafting to. So far I've put Goldrush and Honeycrisp on it. Liberty would be an awesome additional graft.

raven...I am trying to download Malwarebytes.- I went to the first line you gave- 'Malwarebytes Ant-malware'... When I go to the first line you gave, it takes me to a page that says 'Malwarebytes', with 'Home, About Us, Products, Contact Us on the top line. Then on the left is 'Destroying malw...(there isn't any more), and 'Testimonials'. Further down the page is a red 'cnet-Editors Choice Apr 2009'. Further down from that is 'Latest News'. There isn't any blue box to download. At the very bottom of the page is 'Malware NET', Adware.MyWebSearch 24.33%, Trojan Agent percent of total 6.15%, Security Hack Percent of total 5.59% Right now I have a split screen so I can tell you exactly what comes up when I click on the site. AVG has made my computer so slow- I have 448MB. I have read your instructions for when you have trouble downloading Malware- I went to: tools/internet options/security/trustedsites/sites and added www.malwarebytes.org/add. After I did that everytime I tried to go to a site a message popped up and said 'www.cnet' wants to be downloaded through this site- do you want to allow this?'. If I click 'yes' it just keeps popping up but nothing happens.

To the point about getting an inspector--definitely find one of your own, and make sure he/she is experienced with historic houses (Victorians if you can find someone). An inspector who is used to dealing with new builds could likely freak out at a little cracked plaster, when in reality those cracks could just be your house expanding/contracting with the seasons. Doesn't mean your walls are caving in, doesn't mean you need to immediately rip them out and replace them with drywall. Plaster is sturdy stuff! Take a look at the bottoms and tops of doors, even if they open and close easily. If the doors have been planed to be skewed, the house has undergone some settling. Settling isn't a deal-breaker but can tell you something about the house. Most important things on a historic house: --foundation --roof --structural stability --integrity of frame (hopefully you won't find extensive wood rot, especially in structural members) The rest (plumbing, electric, etc.) can be updated. Granted, they may be expensive to update, but not as expensive as jacking a house up to pour a new foundation, or completely replacing the roof or all the trusses because of a leaky roof. All of this said, there are few things as rewarding as having a historic house to call your own. :) After having owned three other historic homes, DH and I bought our dream home last year. She's a beaut! Relatively untouched, which for some people would be a real pain in the you-know-where. It's perfect for us, though. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found a diamond in the rough. Good luck with whatever you decide, and enjoy the new grandbaby!!! :)
