Bradley, I am sorry you had to go thru all this BS. Judging by your last post I think things are starting to look up? BUT I wouldn't just hand him the money Sat when they are done..first, make sure you watch them the whole time, and make sure they KNOW you are watching. They will do a better job if they know you are out there keeping your eye on them. They know you know where the problems are, and if you don't see them tend to something that needs attention, dont be shy about saying..hey, I noticed you didn't do this, or that. Make sure all the problems are taken care of BEFORE you pay them the remaining balance. I, honestly, would tell the guy, I'll pay you the balance in say, 5 days..after I have time to have it running and make sure all the probs were taken care of properly, if not, they have to come back and fix it till it's right. I would write up this agreement and have him sign it..if he's not willing to sign it, well..that'd be trouble in my book. Is there a written agreement from the beginning of this project? If so, you need to look into that..I hope you didnt sign anything without reading the whole thing first, though it's so easy to do, you want to trust these people, and we should be able to, it's a shame we can't all the time. I wouldnt pay for something done half-assed. You hired them to do this job so that it is done RIGHT..leaks are NOT good, even a little pinhole leak. Yeah, evap is normal, its a given..but NOT leaks, thats totally different. True they are easy to fix yourself, but this was what they were hired for, there are no excuses in my book. They claim to be professionals, so that is what is expected of them, and they should live up to it, period. My opinion is that you don't pay the remainder of what is owed until the job is satisfactory..NO leaks. Is this a liner pond? I am a little concerned that if they used tubing that wasn't satisfactory, what kind of liner did they use? I hope this ends well, and quickly for you so you can enjoy your new pond!!! BTW..we'll be expecting pix! :)

I like to add composted cow manure to my planting holes (maybe a shovel or 2 full?) mixed into the soil. I usually have a bunch of gnarly looking oak leaves laying around, so I toss them into the bottom of the hole. However I hope someone with very sandy soil has more experienced advice. We have loam on top (about a foot?) and sand below, so I don't know if my soil conditions are similar. I'm not a fan of miracle grow garden soil unless it's on top for annuals. If I've needed extra soil, I either go to the garden center and get soil & compost or if I need just a little, I pick up some bags of top soil at Home Depot or Lowes. I don't fertilize hydrangeas except the cow manure. Congrats on your little limes!!

Hi everyone thank you for the great advice. David and freak4plumeria thanks for the great information. Jordan I have to prune it now I worried I wont be able to get it back inside in the fall and I don't want to prune it in the fall, and I am worried it getting damaged by winds in the summer. I had another one like this and 2 years ago during a heavy down pour and heavy winds the tree split in half right at the crown im guessing it was from the weigh. I inspected the one I want to prune last fall before bring it in and it to is showing stress cuts at the crown too so I do want to prune it now. I also have one more question. I seen somewhere on the internet that cuttings must be a certain size to root is this true. The actually trunk of the tree is about 6 1/2 inches thick. The branches I want to cut are 5 inches thick and about 24 inch long I have another plumeria that I planted from seed and this one is odd it has so many branches it has 9 branches and the plant is only about 16inches tall and its an unknown name.

The plant is in my shed that we turned into an extra bedroom. It will stay there for now but can't be there in winter. I want to propagate the long vines that have no leaves in the middle. I have had poor luck propagating Marble Queen, they seem more delicate that regular Goldens. What I did with the other long golden was cut a few vines but some of the long ones I put in seed starting mix still attached to the mother plant. I also put one vine looped down into a jar of water (water from my fish tank which the plants love). I think I will do that with the MQ as well. That way I can hopefully get roots on a vine before I cut it. I know that really long vines can be harder to get roots. I think this one really needed some good sunlight. I will leave her there for now and I should have my potting medium within a week or so. I will transplant her and then see about trying to propagate some of the vines while still attached. Maybe I should fertilize her now so she has more strength for when I repot? I know the better sunlight will help too.
