Has anyone had experience with the Toro LX427 riding mower?
Comments (5)I've had a Toro lx427 for about one year bought it used I will tell you if you buy one used take down all the part numbers and verify the part numbers are for a Toro mine is hard to find parts for because it's been modified so be carful when buying one and ask the right questions 1 has the deck been replaced if so from what model or was it new from factory by the way those are over 300 for just the bare shell 2 when was the last time the oil was changed 3 does it have a new motor as they have an hour meter on them 4 when was the drive train last serveced 5 has there been any modifications to the drive system other wise yes very good mower I use mine at my house and I also use it on others lawns very good mowing very good with a plow not sure about a thrower but yes I'm sure it will do fine with one mine has a 20 horse Kohler couage very good motor I would suggest if you get a thrower to get the weight rack not the wheel weights wheel weights are more expensive I know stupid but true I've done my research and get a set of chains they are about 70 for a set of two be carful on which ones you buy some are quick release and the prongs break easy better off buying the ones that slip over the tires and strap in...See MoreHas anyone had the Crystal Lens implant?
Comments (1)I posted a message like this several years back and had no answers. YES, YES, I had the crystal lens implants with the same results as yours. Crystal lens had just come out when I had mine done and insurance did not pay for C.L. My dr. wanted to do the same thing but I just said no thank you just test my eyesight, give me a prescription for glasses, and I will go home. My optomologist, never explained to me that my eyesight might get WORSE after the cataract surgery. Sure, things are brighter, and I can see better,(everything is not as dark as it once was) but my far away vision got worse. I use to only need reading glasses, now I need glasses for all the time. My close vision is the same, maybe a tad bit better than it was. Hope this helps. Maybe I should have gotten the other surgery done that my optomologist wanted me to, but after spending $5,000 out of pocket, (insurance would not pay for CL, as it was so new at the time) I was in no mood to spend more. Good Luck....See MoreGirl talk: Has anyone had uterine ablation surgery?
Comments (22)I had an ablation about 6 years ago. I had previously had surgery to remove a couple of fibroids and that helped considerably, but a year later I was still having bleeding issues and I had the ablation. (my doctor had suggested it at the time of the fibroid removal, but I didn't want to do them both at the same time). My periods didn't stop, but I discovered Light tampons, and only needed about 5 of them a month. I haven't heard of women having hormonal problems after ablation. I certainly didn't have any problems with my procedure, which was done with the balloon method. I had cramping for less than 12 hours, then felt fine. You do need to use birth control, because you can conceive, but there is no where for the embryo to implant without the lining, so a pregnancy could be dangerous. I think that it's important to know why you are having bleeding problems. For example,if you have fibroids like I did, an ablation isn't going to remove the underlying problem....See MoreHas anyone had any luck selling kitchen cabinets?
Comments (1)I wouldn't want the liability of someone removing it from my home. What if they drop the heavy top on their foot or damage your floors? Unless you're getting new floors? I think $500 to $800 would be a fair price. Another option would be to donate it to Habitat For Humanity Restore if you have one in your area. Get the write off on your taxes. And they'll do a pick up from your garage. If you are getting new tops, ask your fabricator what they would charge to remove it and place it in your garage....if you don't want to lift it off....or have the manpower....See MoreElmer J Fudd
