Never, and you don't have to fill out any of that. It has nothing to do with the warranty.

You can do it online and give them MUCH LESS information. I just throw those cards away.

The rest of it, beyond just your name and address, is all for marketing. The information is used by the company to pinpoint marketing or it's sold. Want to wonder where you get all the junk mail and spam? I'll only use a street address and NEVER give out my email, not even a throw-away email address.

I will typically file my receipt for household appliances and not fill out those cards at all. Television program I was watching one time showed a shopper filing one out in the name of their pet, and before long that pet was getting all kinds of USPS junk mail, and spam to a throw away email provided.

Nobody gets my real email address. Too often store clerks will ask for it anymore, my answer always No, I do not have an email address to share with you ;)

I never fill it out completely, only give the important information. Name, address and city. The rest is none of their business. Mary

We got one last week also and did not fill out the card at all. A receipt for purchase is all you need for the warranty. If you register it, they will notify you regarding recalls and safety concerns, but it really is not otherwise necessary to register it. You can fill out the registration card and keep it in a safe place in your house. If you paid by credit card, the credit card company will keep a record of your purchase.

Actually providing that information probably will not add to whatever "big data" already has on you. If you used your credit card to pay for the mixer, the issuer will sell that information anyway. I had an interesting conversation a while back with a guy who worked for some kind of marketing company and the amount of information they have on individuals is staggering.

I never fill those out. I had a hinge re-call on my fridge doors. I had no problem but they went after me for months. They find you if they need to. They insisted so i finally let them do it. Such a pain to schedule and a bit of a comedy of errors having to do all the work myself. oy.

I fill out my pets names and i spell my name different all the time. My long dead pet still gets mail.

Thanks so much for the info---I will file the registration card. No telling when I'm going to get to use my beautiful new machine. As I was reading the setup directions I noticed that it requires a three prong outlet. And it says----Do not use an adaptor. So guess I'll have to wait til Angie's List offers an electrician on the Deal Of the Day!
