Oaktown, no I have not been able to see the sink live. I would prefer the 4 ft one, but cannot spare the floor space. Luckily for my plans, no infants or toddlers are in our future. I was wondering about the faucets getting in the way. I was planning on buying the Chicago Faucets already because I never liked the looks of the rough body on the Kohler. Then I learned that the Kohler are now tagged as for non-potable water only due to higher lead content. Chicago Faucets pass the lead testing, plus have their patented ceramic Quaturn valves. Thanks for your info, though. The Brockway is going to be the only bathtub in the house! Have you seen the other faucet that Kohler makes (or made, I don't know if it is still available) for the Brockway? It is called the Calder. It is the same body as the Cannock, used upside down, with the rose spray connected right to the body, without a spout. So the spray is closer to the back of the sink, not projected out on the goose neck. The Calder also does not use a chrome wall flange to bring the faucet body further away from the back splash. So the whole faucet sits tighter to the body of the sink. I find myself wondering if I like this faucet almost more than the Cannock-style, which is going to force me to put the medicine cabinet extra high. What do you think of this Calder faucet? sumnerhousesf.com: Anytime you see orange and marble it's not a good thing. The orange is probably rust. Something metal is oxidizing inside/under that marble, causing the failure and the orange. It must be removed for a permanent repair. You're going to get guys offering to fix this for $150.00. It may look nice for a month or so, but that's setting money on fire. I would remove the shower door, remove the marble, replace it with a solid surface marble look-alike, and reinstall the door. Around $1,200.00, but a permanent fix.

We're not paying by the hour; his bills reflect the percentage complete, itemized by category (e.g., painting), and his sub, the painter, is doing the patching. I'm no novice when it comes to renovations, and we thoroughly vetted this contractor. He had rave reviews--too many to be fake--from clients I spoke with personally. He's very active in trade organizations. But his facebook page shows an interesting spin (some might call it lying) on our project. For example, he brags about his clever solution when "the client changed her mind" about a tile pattern, when, in fact, the client (me) noticed he was doing it wrong and showed him how to correct the pattern.

It's between the bathroom and the hallway. Maybe I should have gone to an actual tile store but most of these places have such limited hours, making the big box stores a much more convenient option. I don't think I'll change it out now since it was just put in, but maybe somewhere down the road. It was put in with Mapei ceramic tile mortar, which probably isn't ideal but I already had a lot left over from another project. The closest Floor & Decor to me is an hour away :(
