Comments (22)Lucy I'm not upset that you posted. I'm just still feeling pretty crappy and don't have the energy to get online. At least I'm out of the hospital. Hopefully I'll feel human by the end of the week. Thanks for the well wishes. It's back to bed for me....See MoreI'm so upset
Comments (14)Good suggestions above. Also, large institutions may have more than one "Lost and Found" (e.g., one on the wing or floor, and another in a central office area or security office). It seems to me that someone who mentioned that she was turning it in (although she could have just slipped it into a pocket without saying anything) was being honest. Another possibility is that the person who found the camera didn't have time to bring it to the L&F as she was going home. If that person is a frequent visitor, she may return another day and bring the camera with her. So there's still hope. Would the hospital permit you to post a sign in the rest room where you lost the camera? I sure hope you find it! But, if not, at least you'll have the memories. My very best wishes to you and your sister, Sue...See MoreI am very upset. I need some kitchen friends
Comments (150)boxerpups - such a sad situation for that young girl - and surely her sister too. it does sound like she is acting out and I do agree that you should contact the teacher. maybe someone can intervene with her. life is tuff enough for young people today and that girl has more than any one young person should have working against her. i don't think i'd go the court route (don't think you will either). in the end it could cause more trouble for your dd and your family than it's worth. i'm not saying the young girl isn't worth it or that we don't have the right to be upset when someone damages our property. but in the end, a fridge is a fridge and hopefully will be fixed w/o much expense. OTOH, I do think the young girl needs confronted about it. for her good! and i think it is something you could handle. holding someone to account is not mean, it is the more loving thing to do for them. short term upset for long term gain. it might not show in her in the near future, but it will be going around in her head that someone was more concerned about her future than a material thing. it sounds like she has been raised to think that things are more important than she is. until you decide how to fix the fridge door, i think i'd use it as a prayer reminder for that young girl. and a thank you for the blessings you and your family have in each other. and as for getting a new puppy after the loss of another very loved furbaby, my belief is that the best way to honor my precious gone to heaven furbaby is to find another furbaby in need of a loving home and lots of spoiling! i think that makes them very happy!...See MoreSo, so upset with major purchase
Comments (150)UPDATE: So I received an answer from the owner of the store who is hanging with the manufacturer in the USA right now. He brought the furniture back to the builder and discussed the issues I had with it. He explained his policy as this is custom ordered, not just taken from a shelf. They have never sold this set as painted before, they cannot give a refund until they try to solve the issues with the product. The painter was different from the builder and had the builder seen it it wouldn't have passed inspection. So the owner and manufacturer are proposing that when the owner goes down to the US again at the end of October, he will bring back beautiful furniture that is painted by the manufacturer who has experience painting kitchen cabs and will be inspected by the owner of the manufacture company. Then before it is delivered to our house, we will go to the store to inspect it. So they have my 4K and I'm not getting furniture for another 2 months. So now what? It's not just the finishing, cross bars were cracked and the backs were hacked (as per the pics!). It sounds like they will fix the cosmetic stuff, but I don't know. I just have such a bad taste in my mouth about this whole thing now. The owner of the local store says he is in the US and doesn't get internet most of the time, so I can contact him next week. Do you think I have enough to open a formal dispute with the cc company, or because they are trying to fix it I'm stuck with it? THANK you for all your advice and wisdom!...See MoreRelated Professionals
