Mornin' Marjie, Our temps are similar. Some nights have been in the 50's, way too cold for August. It's 72F now...and they say Aug is the hottest month of the year..lol The last few years, July beat August, big time. 100-104F. Do you have a thermometer in your gh? It might be a little warmer, due to less wind, (no wind-chill) but not by much. Our garage is unheated, so when temps are 5F outside, garage temps are the same minus wind, of course..lol. Play it by ear. When temps dip in the 40's, then it's time to haul plants indoors. Winter has changed. Last winter, except for 2 weeks, most plants could have stayed outside year round. No snow to speak of, either. Don't be terried..I know, easier said than done. lol As long as plants aren't over-watered, 'I withhold fertilizer, but some people continue,' and they get enough light to thrive, they'll do fine. Does the air in your home get dry in winter?

Still waiting for mine to bloom!!! I am Zone 7 Arley AL and this is the first time for me to grow them and they are really growing but NO BLOOMS??!!!! Am I doing something wrong???

Wow....what an amazing list of people.... too many of them no longer with us or active here. It is nice to remember some of their names and their struggles that we shared. Thanks for the memories.

Be aware that in some areas restaurants are now allowed to sell the produce and other food stuffs that they contracted with their suppliers rather than having to throw it away. You would have to contact your restaurants to find out if they do this. Another source is to check your local plant nursery. The small one near me has been a CSA drop-off for several years but this year they are selling produce and other things like eggs provided by the CSA. This CSA normally makes drop-offs at businesses that are now closed so they have an excess.
