We had Microseal applied. It did nothing to help that spot. The tech had no understanding of how to care for velvet and told me I should saturate it with water if anyone spills on it. I told him that is against what Robert Allen suggests for this particular velvet. The Microseal did nothing to ruin the pile/nap of the fabric but, since then (after the four day cure time), it seems to get crushed from sitting on it and these crush marks are permanent. Is this normal for velvet? I'll take a photo of one of these crush marks.

I have Cambria Torquay in my kitchen. It is so beautiful & I could not be happier with it. I too had a terrible time getting my kitchen design place to get a sample so I finally ordered a sample directly from Cambria & it came in a couple of days. Cambria shipped it out the day after I ordered it. It seems that Cambria subcontracts out the job of supplying kitchen design places with the samples & the subcontractors do a really poor job of supplying samples. Cambria themselves were super fast. I had gotten so discouraged waiting for the kitchen design place to get samples that I also ordered samples from Silestone (Lyra & Lagoon) in case I wanted to give up on Cambria. I liked Cambria's Torquay so much better. Torquay's white is whiter instead of being just shades of gray or slightly muddy. It is a very serene design to me. If you have any doubts about what you want and you cannot find a sample, just order a sample. The cost is nothing when you compare living with a countertop pretty much forever. BTW, Cambria's samples are 12"X12" so you get a really good picture of what it is like, not like looking at a 1" square!

enough said. . . thank you for responding. I had read some reviews and was questioning for myself if it was worth the time and money. Evidently not! Maybe the deck will be replaced sooner than I thought!

Hey Laura! A nice bright spot will do in pure sphagnum or peat moss...Use fresh water, like distilled or rain. Any water without the chemicals or salts in them..No fertilizer and make sure to give it a good resting period....That means very cool temps and don't be scared if it looks dead...It will come back as soon as days warm up and days get longer..They love to grow outside! I had many in the past but let them freeze by accident outside...(( Make sure to keep the pot resting in a saucer with constant fresh water.. They won't get rid of a gnat problem, but they would certainly be well fed!
