Comments (11)The vase picture didn't come through for me. Can you post it in this thread, I'd love to see it. Grandma Bonnie, the redneck bird feeders sound like a riot! can't wait to see them. I now have a serger and I'd love to think of something to make using it. Maybe expand on my already existing mushroom and flower themes. Right now I'm just using it to alter clothing for myself, and to make some indoor/outdoor cushion covers. Its still new and I haven't gotten a creative idea of how to use it yet. It is awesome tho. Comments (6)The most successful projects I have done with groups: Decoupage picture frames (I kept my eyes out for inexpensive frames with wide flat edges, and prepicked from my paper stash including paper letters form scrapbooking supplies so people could make words. I used modpodge, but you can water down Elmers. I took everyone's home and put several coats of polyurethane over several days, but people could spray uerethane their own once the glue was totally dry. another possibility is to use mirrors or boxes etc. Message boards with criss crossed ribbon. I used homesote as the base. A 4' x 8' sheet is pretty cheap and it can be cut up into many pieces. The quilt batting and fabric and ribbon. Staple gun and decorative tacks. People loved these so much we did it twice. I'm looking forward to hearing what others have done. Kathy...See MoreIdeas for a craft project - tricky parameters
Comments (26)Eandhl, that sounds a little bit like a christmas ornament? Am I visualizing it correctly? Bumblebeeze, Deee, Yes, if you don't have kids youve probably never heard of it but duct tape is big! Thanks for the link. Deee -- all the traditional stuff I can think of, I don't think they will find too exciting. ANd without language skills to give in context, not sure ... Bumblebeez --- beads, great idea!!m ooh and glitter! Maire -- yes, i thought I should do that too. Patty -- I see your point, but perhaps they already do enough of that. ANd frankly it takes more skill to pull that off! At this point, I am thinking I will give my school contact a choice of four from: Origami (my son is really good at this so I think we will def do this) Duct tape pencil flowers (my one daughter has done these and they are cute and functional) Beading Marbleized paper, maybe for bookmarks Snowflakes with glitter Baseball hat painting Thumbprint painting Thanks all!...See MoreCan you resist this arts & crafts project?
Comments (11)Those are really cute. I've used the "heads" of people on cards I've made for them.....one was a window card and the person was looking out the window. Another was for a friend who has a camper. I had her and her husband's heads looking out the window and door. I've used their heads as the center of a flower....See More- 11 years ago
