I use a Mac and have noticed from time to time that in responses to my messages the font size of my original message is quite small (maybe 8 points). I don't know what that is and it doesn't seem to happen all the time. Your SIL should probably check with one of the forums dedicated to Mac users.

I am using firefox as my browser, if I click on file at the top then on print preview it opens the page in the print preview pane, at the very top it has a scale option, usually it says shrink to fit but if you click the drop down arrow it gives you options for increasing the size. I even went to IE(which I never use) and also there when you select file at the top then print preview you have a scale option with a drop down arrow default says shrink to fit, but under the options you can select larger option. there should also be an option up there in the little icons if you hover your mouse over it will say show full width you can try that too.

As chemocurl said a printer setting. I went an made a check and what I found was. Click on File at the left top. Print Preview. Scale at the top set to Shrink to fit for portrait. Or Also for Portrait set scale to 80% For larger print, Set Scale to 125% and change Portrait to Landscape. Portrait and Landscape settings are in Page Setup. You can go to a larger % for landscape but I wouldn't want to.

The current Mac operating system is Unix based, it is basically a very nice user interfaced Unix system. As such it is very difficult to write anything more than a simple virus that will infect only one level of a single program. The use of the super-administrator effectively stops the virus from doing a system wide attack. Most Mac viruses were written for prior operating systems NOT based on Unix. Even those were fairly rare and harmless, usually worms. To say there are many threats to the Mac is huge exaggeration, especially in comparison to what Windows sees in way of virus attacks. Apple does release security updates. They are primarily to close small theoretical holes in the system and make the OS as secure as possible. No actual virus has ever been reported penetrating those holes. One argument is that Mac's represent a low percentage of computer uses and hackers only go after the dominant Windows platform. However Hackers are out for glory and what could be more glorious than to write the first virus which brings down the Mac? A system that has been untouchable since the introduction of OS-X nearly five years ago. I believe that if they could - they would. This is not to say there won't be a successful attack on the Mac in the future, anything is possible although it is unlikely. I'm not going to lose sleep in the meantime.
