Comments (3)Seeds grown from nonhybrid cultivars, when not resulting from spontaneous crossing, produce plants that should be called simply by the name of the wild species of the parent tree - unless they have the characteristics of a botanical forma that has been established for such variants above the level of cultivar. Thus, both greenleaf and redleaf seedlings of Acer platanoides 'Crimson King' should be called simply Acer platanoides - unless you happened to get a hybrid seedling, something that is probably not very likely in this instance. Theoretically, if you got a redleaf seedling that had all the characteristics of A. platanoides f.* schwedleri, you could call it by that name. But since such an application would imply that the seedling was grown from a Schwedler maple parent, it would probably be just as well to stick with calling them all A. platanoides seedlings. A red seedling could also end up with a cultivar name if you decided to select one and introduce it as such. It should surpass those already known for this to be done, of course. *forma...See Morewhere can I find some Fresno seeds?

To me, the Fresno has a nice heat and a little more sweet than the Jalapeno, although I neve ate them green. The Fresno has more squared of shoulders and the flesh may be a little thinner than the Jal but still not a good drying pods.
