Comments (6)"We have not had any leaks but how difficult is it to change out portions of a drywall ceiling?" I've had a drywall ceiling for 15 years in the basement and haven't had any reason to touch it. If you want to identify any potential problems while the ceiling is open, fine. This way you minimize opening the ceiling at a later time. Say for instance there's a bathroom above on the first floor in a house that's 40 years old. I might look at the tub or shower traps as potential issues and replace them while the ceiling is open. Every house is different and you don't need to anticipate every possibility. It's drywall. If you need to cut it open, cut it open. You repair the ceiling and paint it. It's not brain surgery, but alot of the tools are the same. Comments (17)You are fortunate to have a large room! As for the side table next to the sectional, it's not too much if you need it. If someone often sits there, they do need a place to put there drink and/or a snack. Maybe you need the table for a lamp, too. The one you have there now may a bit small, it looks like just the box of tissues takes up the whole table. Before you purchase a new one, why not wait until your area rug comes so you can get a good idea of what type of end table will suit?...See MoreKindly help with Area Rug (Sitting Room)
Comments (9)It’s hard to say for sure without seeing the rest of the house. Are there other rugs nearby? If that’s not a factor, here are a few I think would work well ... and elevate your room to a more unique, personal style: Love the playful boldness of this one. https://www.rugs-direct.com/Details/Nourison-Fantasy-FA18/106597 In a room similar to yours: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is actually a cool vinyl rug, paying homage to retro vinyl floor cloths.
