Comments (9)So, I lived in this condo for 18 years. This window is a South facing window, with a building 15 feet away. EVERY YEAR would come the Christmas dilema... until the year this picture was taken. DH had a really bad motorcycle accident and had no business in the attic dragging down years of stuff... But, this is The Only Window of this size in the whole place. I had one east facing sliding glass door and one east facing kitchen window. I had two smaller South facing windows besides this single one, and I MADE my husband build a weird knock down stand that 'would do' for two months. I So Know about Christmas Trees in The BEST Window, and what to do the rest of the time. Which is why my hoyas never took off until I moved out of this place. (Which also was the HOA Balcony issue for those who remember!) This last year, with both stands and all the orchids, I would have been Hard Pressed to find room for all!!!...See MoreCan't stay signed in - help!

Comments (21)I have full bullnose, no seam. And yes, there is the issue with water run off but it's not like I don't KNOW when there's a spill and I just clean it up. It's not really a problem. However, I do have the eased edge in my powder room and would suggest that for any bathroom situation. Especially if you have kids and don't know every time there's water on the counter. I don't go and check the countertop every time they come out of the bathroom. I AM finding though that I actually like the look of the eased edge better than my full bullnose. It makes the granite look thicker and I'm wishing I'd just gone with the eased edge everywhere. In short, go with what YOU like for the kitchen, but for bathrooms I highly reccomend a simple eased edge....See MoreElectrical outlets below bar-type counter
Comments (2)Nothing that I know of for the NEC. The things that come to mind is that there is a maximum distance under an overhang (12" if I recall, I don't have the code here today) that the legally required outlets can be located to count. Is there a lower countertop on one side? Perhaps he's saying he can't fit the outlet in the step up without raising it (still seems suspect)....See More- 10 years ago
