Are these species invasive to my zone?

I wintersowed Royal Catchfly, Standing Cypress, & Lynchis Viscaria, of which I got really good germination. However, before I plant I would like feedback on whether these babies invasive? (In the matter of which, will they overrun other plants?) Zone 6b, Central New Jersey.

Silene regia, the first one, is a short lived perennial, so it will not "invade" but does seed out if it likes the soil, usually rocky. Most of the Silenes I planted eventually ran out. I have not planted the others, but you can check on the invasive list that I am sure your state has. NC has a long list in levels of invasiveness. Makes you almost afraid to plant anything.

Ipomopsis rubra (Standing Cypress) does seed around. I can not speak for you yard. I find that it is very happy but does not stray far. many can live close together in a stand and they seem to tire of an area in a few years and want to move to another area. My garden is not very fertile. I grow wildflowers in a fairly unammended situation. I have friends who say they can't get it too germinate in the bed on their land. I think one does not need to Winter sew but should just sow these in the dirt in fall and they will come up and sow them in the spring and they will come up. I can not speak to your Zone.. They are a native here. I just adore them.

Perennial mints used for culinary purposes are pretty much all invasive. We have had success keeping under control by planting it in a plastic tub that is at least 12 inches deep and burying the tub in the ground. We leave 2 inches exposed at the top. I guess you can say that lots of invasive plants can be considered weeds and their purpose as weeds is to help reclaim land. Mint is used for so many things, I can see why it is a good thing that it is invasive even though it drives us gardeners crazy sometimes!

Thanks for the warning, too late I'm afraid. They survived hurricane Ike and the freeze. One has climbed onto the porch. I barely made it out of Lowes the other day, several tried to leap into my cart but I evaded them. Tally HO!

Hi, gg. I am in the process of trying to up load pics. Maybe it is Botrysphaeria. (Never heard of it, but I'm not that well versed.) Maybe the pics will appear now. This is the end of the process, when the branch is almost dead. This is how it starts. It occurs in all years here. I am in So. Cen. PA, and this particular location on my place is near a Japanese maple, a Prunus mume and a high bush blueberry.
