Comments (5)Lighter or darker? Good Question. The ceilings are low. The house was originally a lake cottage built in 1939 so the ceilings in the dining room and the kitchen are only eight feet high. In fact this part of the house was originally the LR/DR but I am repurposing the LR and combining it with the original DR to create one dining space. There are living room and family room areas that were added on in the eighties, so we don't really need a parlor size living room, but we do need a larger dining room. The original dining area is only 11 x 11. Shaker Beige seems dark in the dining area due to the lighting in that room, while Edgecomb Gray looks light (also due to lighting) So...your question is a very good one! Which way to go? I'll take a look at Kahlua and Cream. Hopefully that will work. Thanks!!...See MoreBM Shaker Beige or SW Accessible Beige?

Comments (3)I looked at that color as well when I was searching for a whole house color for my condo. I had paint swatches plastered over all of the walls and would look at them for weeks. (I drove my husband nuts!). You may want to look at Carrington Beige. It was a little too light for me, but it may work for you....See Moresumoney
