Give me name of the best Nat.Stone Impregnator/Sealer
Comments (1)Nicole, I'm no expert, but since no one has replied, I'll tell you what worked for me. I looked up tile distributors (the distributors who supply the tradesman, not the retail stores) in my area, then visited two of them. I asked to speak to the guy who knew the most about these things, then explained that "if money was no object, which would you go with and why". I received very similar information from both people, and went with a product that most closely delivered on the important points. I also have travertine floors, btw. They're pretty good providing you don't have a dog that likes to chase balls around, in which case they'll show scratches :-)....See MoreWho makes the longest lasting, best stone impregnator/sealer??
Comments (9)The best natural stone/grout/concrete sealer on the market is DryTreat's StainProof Original, StainProof Plus, MetaCreme and the 40SK for commercial use. DryTreat's products are alcohol based and have over 60% active ingredient vs. DuPont's best, the bulletproof, a water based sealer which has only about 13% active ingredient. Miracle's 511 sealer only has a 8% active ingredient. DryTreat's sealers molecules are 300-400 times smaller which ensures a deeper penetration to maximize protection. DuPont's and Miracle's 511 are both topical sealers which means you must re-apply them every 6 months or so. StainProof Original/Plus you only apply them once, and if you clean and maintain your stone you will be good for a life time. DryTreat sealers are VOC compliant and suitable for indoor, outdoors, residential and commercial use. Their warranties are real; they stand behind their product 100%. We have been in the tile and stone industry for over 30 years and dealt with all sealer companies. We have been using DryTreat for over 8 years and never had one issue. Definitely the best impregnating sealer money can buy!...See MoreWhich DuPont sealer is best for marble--I'm confused.

Comments (50)My husband is a contractor and we did a huge job back and front yard thousands of dollars worth of ledger granite stone. We wanted to seal the stone, not change or enhance color at all. The entire backyard did very well and looks beautiful. Half way through the front yard which was looking great we ran out of product and bought a 4 pack from HD and applied exactly the same way and the new bottles of product which was sealer changed the color of the stone. Now I have a 2 tone fireplace up the house and two panels up the house that a 2 toned and a planter. I applied it all myself, the same way on the same stone and somehow the new product formula changed. The company Miracle Sealants have been very un-co-operative and it took a lawsuit threat to just get them to agree to come 40 miles to look @ it. I sent samples of the empty bottles, samples of the 2 tone stone and he is at this point saying that they don't think they will stand behind their product...we shall see, be careful with this product....See MoreCreative Tile Eastern CT
