Anyone else hate their Bosch dishwasher?
Comments (67)Weve had issues with our new bosch dishwasher as well. First if all, the installation process is a pain-we had bought it to replace our old dishwasher which was fairly new but in order to install the bosch dishwasher, we had to have an electrician and plummer come to rewire and reroute/set up the water lines correctly for the thing to even run. Then we had issues with the power cord and had to have a technician come out and repair/fix that. I also hate how you cant control it/buttons arent accessible unless the door is open. There is inadequare space for dishes, doesnt effectively clean dishes even with high quality dish detergent, rinse aid, and meticulous placement of dishes. Lastly, its annoying how it gets stuck on auto and you have to reset the thing and rerun it just so you can switch to a different mode. I have used many different brands throughout my life-rented in my 20’s and early 30’s including whirpool and LG and never had issues....See MoreAnyone Else Have to Move Doors to Fit New W&D
Comments (3)Yes, there are many of us with this issue. My old laundry center was in the kitchen in a closet with a bifold door. The new FL set would not fit behind the doors so I took them off altogether. The machines don't stick out of the closet, just past the doors. They look better than the doors, too, so it worked out fine. Some people move the doors if they can, use a curtain, or, like me, leave the machines in the open....See Morehas anyone else ever lost their decorating mojo?
Comments (15)Lake girl, my hugs and deepest sympathies to you. I lost my mom in 2010, but after the worst of the grief, I found her again by spending time doing the things we enjoyed together and bringing her along with me in my heart. As Mitch Albom says, when someone you love dies, you don't end your relationship with them, it's just that the relationship changes. Re decorating mojo, I think even most plants need a resting period before they can bloom again, so it is with decorating. And when you come back to it, it's with a fresh and welcoming eye. I've kind of stopped my projects too, diverting myself with the wedding veil and now a dress for myself to wear. So the creative process continues, but just in a different direction. But after 7 years of house design and 3 years of building and another year of landscaping, I think it's time. I will get back into it though via lists. I need to wander around the house and start making lists of thing, big and small, that need to get done yet. I still haven't made the drapes for the DR, and there's that small strip of wood under the door in the FR that never got painted that annoys the heck out of me, and I want to try and faux finish the grate on the stone wall by the wood stove.......See MoreJane or anyone else who has a Psychopsis
Comments (9)Bea, I lost most of mine after moving to Florida. We were living in various places before we bought our house. I moved with approximately 30 of my orchids from NY. We spent 6 months on Siesta Key and it had a small backyard. They seemed to handle the change in climate as I put them under a tree and were mostly shaded, plus it was the end of September. Because it was a Key, the winds were almost constant. I think that was the trick. When we left there after 6 months, we spent 3 months on another Key. This was a small condo but had a small outside terrace. I put them out there with my other orchids. It was also windy. They survived but did not flower. When we found our house, it has a big yard but is inland, not near the water. They went downhill within a month. I repotted them all in small wood chips, perlite and NO sphag! They made it through the winter but when the rains came, they went downhill quickly. They developed fungal problems, root rot. I moved them all inside to the AC but by then they did not recover. I'm not sure Florida is the right climate for them. I would try them inside during the Spring and Summer, move them outside when the temps drop and the rains stop. I do miss them and have been tempted to try again, but I'm afraid to. Please let me know how you make out. You have cooler temps than I do, maybe better air circulation and they might do fine. Fingers crossed! Jane...See MoreLavender Lass
