Anyone hate their non-drying dishwasher?
Comments (19)I think I remember a plastic thing that the installer didn't install. He didn't know what it was for. I hope the clips didn't get thrown out. I will try the sanitizer and rinse aid. Our water bill has been around $100.00 a month and sometimes $140.00. So we try to use the express setting as much as possible. That could be the problem too. I try to anchor the plastics with glass bowls whenever possible. It is just those tiny plastic bowls that are about 2" tall and 2-3" wide. If it was just water left over, it wouldn't be bad. We have leftover detergent in the bowls when they flip....See MoreBosch or Meile Dishwasher
Comments (18)Weissman gives good advice. Don't let a few negative posts about KA Dishwashers scare you off. I have owned at least 2 or 3 KA DW's and all were trouble free for 9 years + for each one. I now own a Miele Optima due to the fact that in 2005-2006, only Miele had that "Top cutlery Tray" and that was a "Must have" for the wife and I. Now that KA and others have that rack, Miele would certainly not be an "Automatic Choice" for us, given the record of the KA's we had before. You can take any manufacturer and any appliance, and a negative posts come up and folks "Pile ON", I had same problem etc etc, in fact I saw many posts of problems with Miele ovens, but I quit mentioned those as it tended to upset some ladies here, and most likely, the post was a "Miele Me Too Pile On" So read all the posts, many happy users with KA DW's on this site as well as others. Ya know, was an interesting thing, when I first started visiting this site, You would have thought that Only Miele made ovens with an occasional Gaggenau Oven mentioned.--If you look now, You will see that at least some of them "have noticed" that Electrolux can also make a pretty nice performing oven---surprise -surprise!!! Anyway msg is, follow Weissman's advice, find what fits your dishes and your lifestyle, read all post, and then draw your own conclusions. Good luck! Comments (46)Amazing what you can find on the internet. I have the SAME exact problem with my dishwasher. Only, it is isn't Bosch it is GE. Handle has plastic endcaps, which of course after owning it only a few months, first started to crack and then just crumbled. GE came to replace it under warranty. It was not so easy to replace, he had to take the door apart. I said there is no way it will last. He said it will, he has never heard of this problem. How can you make a piece like that out of plastic? Well, it has been a few months, I took a look and sure enough, it has started to develop a crack again. I got an extended warranty on it because of this. I am sure I will be using it plenty of times. Who designs these things???...See MoreHusband hates the new Bosch DW - Now what?
Comments (22)Funny, I just got my new Bosch installed last weekend - to replace the Kitchenaid that I couldn't stand!! It is the Integra 800 (SHX98M09UC). I can't believe how excited I am about something so silly! The Kitchenaid was louder and just felt clunky to me. It was also only about 5 years old and the racks are rusting. Plus the door made this horrible squeaking on open and close. Perhaps I just got a lemon but I've missed my Bosch until now. I do admit that the interior of the Bosch looks smaller, but there are only 2 of us. And one of my requirements was no heating coils. I am back to putting whatever I want whereever I want. I also found that the KA was not any better at drying plastics. . . To each his or her own I guess....See Moreweedmeister
