mold on stained cedar siding

Last year I re-stained the exterior of my house, which has cedar siding. I used Sherwin Williams Alkyd solid color stain (the same thing I have used for 20 years). Before re-staining, the painter applied clorox bleach to kill off the mold on the siding and then let the siding dry for one week before applying the oil-based stain.

Mold has started to appear on the siding this year and I wanted to remove it but do not want to use bleach. I am planning to use Oxyclean to kill the mold. The people at Sherwin Williams recommended I first clean the siding with Simple Green.

Will the use of Simple Green interfere in any way with the effectiveness of applying Oxyclean?

Thanks for your help.
