Help making bird house safer

Hi - I hung a bird house in a tree last spring and learned my lesson about how dangerous it is for birds. A raccoon came and shook the birdhouse, scattering the babies everywhere. It was so awful and I felt terrible about it.

After doing some research, I planned to move the birdhouse to a pole or somewhere more safe. Fast forward a year, and I apparently have waited too long because the same type of bird is setting up house. I believe it's a house wren.

Is there anything I can do to the existing area to prevent an animal from attacking? Maybe hanging a baffle? Or should I move it and hope that the wren will follow to a new location? I appreciate the help!
