Hello,
I think that part of my PJP II may have a mutation and I was curious what others think about it. One of the canes seemed slightly more red than the others and it also had many more buds than usual, I've never seen anything like it in the several years I've had this plant. Not that I'm complaining about extra roses (I love it!), merely curious.
What do you think, is this part a mutation or is PJP II known to sometimes produce so many buds so close together like
this? It's hard to tell but there were about twelve buds in total and it was all on one cane. I know the angle is wonky for seeing how it is growing but this
is the only picture I have of the weird growth-unfortunately some
neighborhood children decided they liked the roses in the front yard and
ripped many of them off including all of Pope's blooms, much to my dismay. Thank you for your input!
