Help: what is needed to support a floating countertop?

Kreative Touch

We want to put in a kitchen island that will be roughly ~9' x ~4'., 36 inches high incl. floating countertop. The floating countertop wil be on one of the long sides and will be 18 inches deep. Along the other side will be 24 inch deep cabinets. In between will be a hidden support wall about 34 inches high. We can attach hidden brackets to the wall (eg countertopbracket.com) to suppport the floating countertop.

My question is how thick should the wall be? Ideally It would be good if somebody could stand on the floating countertop without breaking it. Although this is not the intended use, someone might step there without thinking while changing a light bulb or cleaning a rangehood filter. Our house has a slab foundation. Kitchen is ground floor in case this matters.
