Wanted to post before but this new format was throwing me In terms of posting personal stuff on the " main " page !

My beautiful, darling, cuter than any other baby in the universe, was born the end of January. Six weeks early but he still tipped the scales at 6 lbs 3 oz. No incubator but he did have to stay in hospital , with Mom thank goodness, longer than we all would have wanted,

Mom and baby recovered beautifully. ..Daddy is still shell shocked. Auntie Meredith is over the moon and Grandad had turned to milk toast! Nana's heart sings........

Last Saturday I had a huge family gathering to introduce Ethan Michael Howard to his family........not sure we made the grade. ..here is a pic of my little man taken at the party.

Thank you all for your sweet comments. OA, I'm glad you like the tablecloth.The styles have changed over the years, but like the vintage ones best. My DGD found several of these pieces at a yard sale. I don't have any others. Punk, I got the tea pot at a ts last year for our Library's Spring Tea, unfortunately, it developed a crack so I used a juice glass inside to hold the flowers. These roses are so pretty they look pink in the pictures but have a lavender hue in real life. Jane, the tablecloth is still bright because it was too short for my table and was seldom used. Seems to me that we don't get to pick what we're called. For instance, my kids called my mom & dad Mama and Papa, but my two brothers' kids called them Gram and Gramps. Most of my cousins, my brothers and I called our grandmother Mimi, but one cousin, the eldest, called her Gramma. Of my five who are old enough to call us anything, three call us Gramma and Grampa, one calls us Grammy and Papa, and one calls us Papa and Sherry! That one cracks us up, he's so adorable. Whatever they call us, it's great! Nobody gets mixed up. I think Bubbe is cute! Sherry

BTW Sara made the Canadian Women's Wheel Chair Basketball team and is playing in the World's this July in Beijing ! She still has your puppy on her shelf

Congratulations! I am so happy for you and your family and it is nice to hear that it is growing. It sounds like Ethan is doing well, and at over 6 pounds, being a bit premature should be okay, I think.
Can't wait to see photos!

Now I know why we hadn't heard from you here for a while.

Pondering the imponderable already! What a doll! Congratulations, Mazel Tov and celebrations all around! I was concerned that you hadn't announced his arrival as I knew he was due in March. Glad to see and hear that Ethan and Mama are doing just fine. Once he's walking Daddy will hit his stride too!

Congratulations to Miss Sara too! Keep us updated!

Thanks all. ....he is beyond perfect and gaining weight well. Finally has eye lashes! The pediatrician says he is where he should be had be been full term !

Auntie Meredith took the pic and entitled it " contemplating world domination" LOL !

He is Mr Serious ! Grandad calls him "grumpers" ......

Sharon, he is absolutely perfect, but then, you already knew that. What a handsome little guy he is, I'm happy to see him growing and healthy.
