Thanks Riles, I posted here in this forum because I didn't get any answers to the same post in the pool forum. It's already slipped to the 3rd page with nobody answering. So I hope to get answers here. The controversy over to seal or not seems to be a passionate one on some other stone sights. I practically got chewed out by one guy on another stone site. So I feel like I'm walking on eggshells a bit. He told me to "go do research and ask logical questions"...OUCH. I have been researching my butt off! It's just that all the "pros" answers are different! Yes, it does seem that filling travertine makes all the difference as to whether it's slippery or not. I am actually going to revisit Hartstone. I didn't want to go that route, but it seems like a safer bet. But travertine sure is beautiful. Good luck to you too! S

Milo, I sent "just a pb" an idea on his "pretty pictures" thread, I love the geometric look. Try very large, 24" white travertine pavers with a cantilevered edge, larger if you have the budget. Cool enough to walk on (we're in Vegas), maybe do the edge as an ogee or waterfall look as well, for the pool coping. Heck, as long as I am spending your money, add some glass with a waterfall effect into the pool. I've seen one from the second story all the way to the waterline that spilled into the pool.The water trickles across the glass. If anyone can do it, looks like "just" can. Hi. I had guests that brought their dog over to my house and the dog left blood drops and smears (from a snagged toe nail) all over my new paver pool deck and new colored concrete pool/spa coping. I've read that you can remove blood stains from concrete through chemical methods (which usually bleach the concrete as well), but nobody seems to address how to remove blood from COLORED concrete, which pavers are made out of colored concrete and the pool coping is also made of colored concrete. Has anyone had experience removing blood stains from COLORED concrete that didn't damage the color of the concrete or the concrete itself? Thanks.

I believe (based on my own experience, not expertise) that it's just going to disappear soon enough. However, I just bought myself a steam cleaner which arrived today, and I have been happily cleaning just about anything I can find with it!! And I think I would try the steam cleaner on your concrete stains!
