Paint color for bathroom
Comments (7)Your countertop is fabulous, it will look wonderful with the white cabinets and marble tile. So you have dark and light. You can go for the flavor of the day and do white or off white walls. Usually the cabinet color is where you start if you want white and have white cabinets. Use the same white with different levels of sheen. All neutral is a safe choice, great for selling a home as you won't turn any buyers off with a color they don't like, but when you are living in a home I think it should reflect who you are and I don't know many people who's personalities are really represented by all neutral color palettes. Seeing colors also increase dopamine levels and make us feel happy. Especially colors that we associate with happy memories. What colors make your heart sing? What color makes you feel like a 10? I think every woman should feel like a 10 in the bedroom. Think about how you can incorporate the colors you love in the master bedroom and bath. You may not want bright red walls, but if red is your color you may want deep wine red towels and bedding and art that has both red and the deep blue grays in your countertop. If you love purple you may want to paint the walls of your bedroom purple. There was a study that showed couples who have purple bedrooms have sex more often than couples with any other wall color. Couples with gray walls had sex less often than couples with any other wall color. Let me know what you are thinking and I will help you pick some options....See MoreHelp with paint color for bathroom vanity?
Comments (3)I love the purple tub! I would maybe do purple vanity that matches the color or a darker purple? Walls I would paint white, mirrors I would either sand (if they’re wood and have them be a light wood tone) and new hardware! Reason I’m thinking no black is bc everything in the room is light, the tub the floors. I wonder if cream painted mirrors could tie in the floor? And in between the vanities you could do hampers/ garbage can (but trendy nice one like wicker or something). I would keep chrome as the hardware. Just some ideas, maybe a new shower curtain...See Morepaint color for bathroom
Comments (7)You have cool marble and picked out two warm whites (White Dove and Simply White) and Chantilly Lace (a very neutral, very bright white). The warm, yellower whites will never work with your green tile or marble. I would want to test a few different cooler whites if I was only considering white. Chantilly Lace may feel blindingly white with the dark green tile. Below are some BM whites and light off whites that I would think about testing. I also think you will make better color decisions if you test the paint colors on sample boards. Different people like different materials for making their sample boards. Poster board and Foam Core are most often suggested. I prefer Watercolor Paper - it doesn't warp and curl like Poster Board and does not have the super smooth slick finish that Foam core has. I use the 18x24 for whites, but you could save a few dollars and use the 11x15 (The size I use for other colors/neutrals). You can buy it at Michaels or Hobby Lobby or Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NQ49PLM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 Paint two coats. Usually you want to leave a 1" boarder around colors, but in this case I would paint all the way to the edge on two sides, as you want to see the color next to the marble and the blue tile, but do not want to be distracted by the wall color. (You may want to go ahead and prime your walls since you have tested so many colors on the walls at this point. We see colors in combination with each other, so you want to look at each sample next to the colors that are going to stay and not compare them to colors that will not be there once the transformation is complete....See MorePicking paint colors for bathroom
Comments (6)Live with everything as is until you can really redo this space. Painting won’t change much. I’d change the light fixtures and wait until you can do a more extensive remodel. Add decor and rugs and it won’t bother you so much…...See MoreUser
