Comments (3)It may be that the valve and associated piping was too big of a heat sink and didnt allow the solder to get hot enough. Plugs are generally screwd in. Caps would be soldered. Are you using propane or MAPP gas? MAPP is a hotter gas. After closing the main valve, did you open the shower valve and allow the water to drain? Some valves require you remove the guts before soldering. How old is this valve? Comments (3)Just make a ledge just below the bottom of the windows about 8" below and the width should be around 15-18" to accommodate up to a 75" HDTV. The ledge would run the entire length of the windows. You can built-in shelves for DVDs and other stuff you would be using with your TV too or just make it look like a bookcase. Comments (6)@JustMe thanks, the cans are so small, not like typical 6 inch cans, we will see if we can change them out. Because of their placement/design, you can only focus them on the table in the middle. I’ll see if electrician can make them into spotlight type cans that can be shifted....See MorePrecision Carpentry
