Site administrators/site pop-ups??
Comments (10)Yeah, mozilla is not used as much. I think they target IE because of it's wider usage. Diggery - One more thing to try is- * Click on "tools" in the upper right corner. * Click on the "Pop Up Blocker". * Click on "Pop Up Blocker Settings" * When the window opens, look all the way at the bottom and there will be a drop down menu for the "Blocking Level". * I think default is "medium". Change it to "High" and see if that helps. Of course if it is on "low", then use "medium" and that should help. If that doesn't work you need to remove the spyware application on your computer. There is software that can do it for you, or do a search on how to do it yourself from a university or computer geek forum. I understand your frustration with the pop up's. I can't stand them. With me, I get a negative relation with the product. So if I see it on the store shelf, I think " those are the _______'s that are so annoying to me when I'm trying to do something on the internet. Why would I use there _________?" (Fill in the blanks with your favorite choice of words)...See MoreMy Tit-A-Lating Site or The Broads Site

Comments (4)raven- Thanks for the other free site. I did do the Malware scan and looked for an update. I had scanned the day the problem started with malware, did the daily scan, looked to update AVG. The scans all said there was not anything to get rid of. I didn't do well trying to save the log. Yesterday I would be on the computer, then, 'Presto-Change-O! All of a suddun everything would close- FAST! I would be with my shortcut icons on the left of the page with the regular bluish screen that normally comes up when you start up. That happened several times. When I get a 'secondary' screen-smaller than the other, the upper, right hand portion where 'minimize', 'maximize' and 'x' are supposed to be are gone- about 1/2 inch of the blue stripe at the top is gone- I just 'guess' where the icon will be and place my pointer there... If malware, AVG, superantispyware say there is nothing bad can there still be something? Also- I can hear my cd- it makes noises like it is trying to read something (about every 30 sesonds), but I don't have a cd in there. I did put a cd in there to listen to, but now it doesn't do anything. Acer had the computer 3 times and never addressed the problem- said it worked- when I opened the box and put a cd in, it did it immediately. Acer is %^*!!I have been trying for hours at a time, several days to make the cd work, so I can put some songs on my Sansa, but never to happen....See MoreSite built and site painted cabinets, help!
Comments (9)Most times on this forum I see people ask questions without providing the necessary details to elicit a proper response. This leads to all kinds of comments from people who may only have limited experience on the subject. In general someone building cabinets on site and finishing on-site means it's not a top tier operation espically building them. On-site oil paint finishing, there are exceptions, Christopher Peacock cabinets which we all know are probably the most expensive cabinets out there are calked, filled and hand brushed oil painted on site. They do use one of the most expensive paints FPE (fine paints of Europe) and very experienced skilled painters. This is probably not the case here but without knowing anything more about what they are actually doing and why or what you are expecting for what you are paying I would get some answers before going any further....See MoreElmer J Fudd
