Some looks like disease - If so, likely needs more air circulation Some looks like ran short of water. Lots of possible reasons to investigate for that.

How can I correct the following problem with the least amount of effort/work? I was going for that aged yellow tuscan color for my walls  I chose a gold base color and sponged on a beige glaze on top. My problem is that when the gold paint dried it was a little too orange (more like orange sorbet) and should have been a tone or two paler. Since I had already painted the entire first floor of my house with this color I decided to sponge on the beige glaze (with a heavy hand) and hope the slightly darker beige color would help tone down the orange. It did tone it down a little, but not enough. Is there anything I can do to bring out the yellow and downplay the orange? I was thinking of lightly brushing a brick/rust colored glaze on top. Is this a bad idea? I would really like to avoid repainting the entire first floor. But I also donÂt want to make a mess out of what is already there. The walls donÂt look terrible, it just screams orange to me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

I recently removed popcorn ceilings from my entire house (all rooms including closets, bathrooms, hallways.) The painter we hired, had his men scrape off the popcorn then smeared some sort of texture on the ceiling. After that they put on one coat of paint. So now, the ceilings have a swirly texture (which is common in Florida). They also sprayed something on the walls which produced an orange-peel effect and then painted. I know they didn't prime the ceilings. They used this stucco-type stuff and painted. It looks good. Jane

If you are going to change out the rest of the wood flooring to the gunstock, you will need to do it ASAP. Most "man made" or "factory finished" floors have a shelf life of 18 months. If it has been 9 months already, you may never find enough of the gunstock to complete the rest of the home. For me, obtaining "the rest" of the flooring is of the utmost importance (if you are still thinking that way). The trim can always be painted. And I for one have no problem with the window trim. It is far enough away from the gunstock to "work". The problem comes when the floor and the molding are "touching" (like in your last photos). I would bet the window trim will be fine...but the floor baseboards need to get some paint on them to get rid of this clash. That's about all I would worry about. But first things first - find out if the gunstock is still available. If it is, then you are SUPER luck and should purchase it as soon as physically possible. You are running out of time to "do more" with this engineered product.
