They are so cute! Perhaps you can buy another bird box and set it up elsewhere. The flying squirrels are nocturnal unlike the gray ones. I've also had so much damage from gray squirrels. They have wrecked shrubs, cut off branches and ruined an arborvitae. One removed the entire grafted portion of a Japanese maple. Bulbs and plants were dug up . We have flying squirrels but have not had a problem with them.

Lisa, It's all about timing. Your hurricane formed right in the middle of a remarkable run of, I think, 8 named tropical cyclones in September 2010. With such a long run of named storms forming rapidly one after another, I think your hurricane got lost in the crowd. Sorry. Your hurricane formed way out there in the Atlantic and stayed way out there so it didn't get a lot of U. S. media attention. You formed from a low pressure system that came off the coast of Africa near the Cape Verde islands. For a while, tropical weather watchers weren't sure you'd make it up to hurricane strength, but you did, becoming a Category One hurricane with a small pinhole eye. They recycle the current naming lists, except that countries can petition for a storm name to be retired if that particular storm was a traumatic one for that nation's people. Since you were a nice hurricane in 2010, your name is at no risk of being retired. We used Montauk Black slate for the floors in our recent (1 year old) kitchen reno. After sealing, it's real easy to maintain and we love the look. Here's a shot. There are some things to be aware of when using slate. Most slate has a tendancy to spawl. When that happens you're often left with sharp edges where the layers have flaked off. These areas are very difficult to clean and can be hazardous if walking barefoot. We were informed that slate from Brazil, that's where ours is from, tends to not spawl. So be sure to find out where your slate is from. There are also porcelain tiles that mimic the look of slate and have none of these problems. I've seen several and have a hard time telling the difference. So you might want to check those out.

Unfortunately, the Houzz FAQs aren't very useful for the basics. (I'm writing one up and will post it eventually - at least as it pertains to Kitchens). However, there is a "Computer Help" GW Forum that might be able to help. Did you try refreshing the page after signing out (even though it was still spinning)? Do you have a password manager that automatically logs you in to a site when you open it? If so, change the setting for Houzz/GW in the password manager. What browser are you using? It works for me in Firefox & Chrome. . Don't apologize - if you're having issues, others are as well!
