Unless the eyeball fittings are the glue on type on the inside of the pipe. That would be the only way to correct that, I'm not sure if those type have a 1" size. I use Kerber Brothers for my pebble. I do not use the pebble tech brand. I know other people and builders will disagree with me, but the pebbletech brand pebbles are no different than any other pebble. There are only so many stones in the colors that all the brands use, they all don't come from different rivers, quarries whatever. I can get any pebbletech color that I want with the exception of a couple that pebbletech has the rights to until there trademark on that pebble goes out. It's kind of like a Ford Ranger and a Mazda truck.Same truck just different branding. The Pebbletech installers are all franchise, which mean they can buy and sell their franchise as they please. I put more trust in an installer that has been doing it for 20+ years who have employees that have been working for them for 30+ years than I do the latest pebbletech franchisee. I think Gardener has had the pebbletech name for a while, but I've seen problems with their installers for the last couple of years.

Your plight is very similar to ours more than 15 years ago. A backyard waiting for something. We planned, then built a brick paver patio. An egress porch covering the original steps was part of the plan, as was a free-standing pergola. Footings for these were installed in conjunction with the patio build. We don't experience any visual obstruction with the pergola from inside the house - it is approximately 14' from the house and 9' tall. Our patio is graded about 22" below the first floor. Following completion of the patio, we paid a local nursury to design the flanking gardens. I've linked photos of our patio and its' features. Comments are below some pictures. We are a few weeks away from our pebbletec finish and as many, it is a difficult decision. We have a lagoon style 20' x 40' with a raised spa and waterfall. We chose a gold tumbled marble coping and deck...it's actually multi colored tan,gold some light brown and we chose a small 5/8" tumbled marble tile that has all the shades of the coping/deck. My wife seems to be leaning toward Black Pearl, as she thinks the contrast would look great... but I am more in favor of either midnight blue or tahoe blue - not a "black hole", as I think that with a lagoon pool the darker colors suit it. Now someone also suggested emerald??? I have seen on this board alot of tahoe blue, but not much of the other darker colors. Has anyone seen many midnight blue, or emerald pools? PRO: I have the privilege of bidding and estimating remolding and repair jobs for a really big company and we see A TON of pools (remodeled over 30,000). This is not a pitch for my services, but my advice would be to put in a pool grade waterline tile and grout it by professionals. Tile is not for looks, it acts as a system to waterproof your pool. As your water level raises or lowers (or stays the same if you have an autofill) at some point your pebble will be exposed to air. In a perfect world about 3 inches will be exposed if you keep up on your water. A cementitious surface for your pool is meant to be hydrated as it cures. Total cure time is debatable, but I've taken classes where some experts think total hydration can take years. I'm sure there are cases (like the one above) where pebble can last 25+ years exposed to the elements, but there are of other factors that might of helped this rare occasion and I'm sure its not just cement strengtheners being added to the mix either. I find cracks in pools and problems with pools that owners didn't even know exist, everyday. I show them, and they all say "Wow! Now I see it, never even noticed that before!" Most often (depending on installed coping) we see small hairline cracks form at the base of the coping, they can run vertically or horizontally. Our solution is always to reset any loose coping (if cantilever or poured in place install a silicone joint) choose a thin tile (if not doing a re-pebble/re-plaster) and get new waterline tile in.
