Yes. those are seeds! Congratulations! There are a few different ways to start Hippeastrum seeds... but if you have the benefit of summer, you could just start them the same way you'd start annual or vegetable seeds... fill a flat with a seed starter mix or decent potting soil, and plant them. Set the flat out in the sun, and let them germinate. Don't let the soil dry out... check it often to make sure it's moist. The seeds may take a while to sprout, but given the warmth of the sun, it won't be too long. Or... you could float your seeds in containers of water, and as soon as you see them sprout, and they begin to grow tiny leaves, you could transplant them into little community pots. Probably the best idea is to do a search here in the forum for "seed germination" or "seed planting" and see what information comes up. There should be a lot of good cultural advice right here! Hi Gigi!! i am really excited to see what blooms these little guys produce!! They say it takes a few years to see inflos, but I'll keep my fingers crossed!! Keep trying on the twirling!! I have been doing this on and off ( when I think about it). And have one Seedpod developing on my Jackie!! It's growing nicely and I might see another on a special variety.. But I don't want to jinx myself to say right now!! I'll let it get bigger before I let my breath out!! ;-) Here is Jackie that I hand pollinated.. And a picture of the Seedpod!! Dupefl.... I also think Gina has similar traits as J-105. Im Sure they have some of the same DNA since most of those varieties are from seedlings from Penang Peach over in Thailand.. But my thoughts were the same as yours. I believe they are closely related!! They are both beautiful with the dark coloration and the reflexed white border on the petals.. Have a great day!! Laura

I doubt it, unless the free samples AND the two bottles I ordered is a "bad batch". Maybe I don't notice a difference because my plants are already happy in their present growing conditions. I tend to be leery of those "miracle revitalizers" and "miracle suppliments", but am always willing to at least try them, as long as they are obviously not a scam. I have yet to use one that lives up to it's promise (other than ProTeKt...but it is actually a fertilizer, has an NPK value). I tend to grow mine as frugally as possible, without wasting money on purported miracle serums. I grow mine as close to natural as I can replicate. Minimal waterings (unless otherwise indicated), foliar feeding daily, high heat and humidity (for those that love it), good airflow, and treating for pests/fungii/bacteria as needed. I don't bother about ugly leaves, worry un-necessarily about everything, and just let them do their thing. If you want to swear by a product, by all means, go ahead! But, when doing so, you have to take into account ALL other variables: *Has your weather changed (warmer? Your plants are going to start growing quicker)? *Have you started feeding regularly after neglecting to do so? If so, the vitalizer may not be responsible for your bigger, healthier plants and leaves. *More light exposure due to seasonal changes or new lights? Same as above.

1. Yes, you can plant now. 2. No need to soak. A multi-petal is more likely to have a seed that is multi, but probably not by much if only one parent. I wouldn't count on it - but maybe!
