Comments (9)Hi Trace. Nice looking trees. I have found that the mandarins are less sensitive to light and temperature changes that can plague other citrus. You will also find that the bucket lights don't work as well when the trees get biger. I used a 4 by 4 by 4 cube with lights. The cube work well but no match for the bucket light. My trees will be in my greenhouse for the cold season. I hope all of us with new greenhouses do well with our tree. I hope your tree fruits soon. I got some 6 fig cuttings that have rooted that I will use a bucket light on for their first winter. Best of luck with your trees, both grafted and seed grown. Comments (10)Your seedling is beautiful. Is the self really that creamy white color? I have a problem with a lot of the blue-eyes on white cultivars, because the white is usually more peach in my garden. I'm assuming it's something in my soil, but I have no idea what....See MoreFirst bloom on my 3 year old seedling
Comments (14)That is about the height of my 2 year old seedling that is trying to bloom - notching in at exactly 24 inches / 2 feet. I wasn't aware at how tall it was until I brought it in last night to put under a grow light -- comes right up to my hips / waist. Boy did it grow like a weed this spring / summer! Makes you proud that something you planted and grew from a small seed has grown to flourish and bless you with beautiful flowers, does it not?...See More1st bloom on my 6 year old plumeria seedling
Comments (22)LatinLady, the seedpod that this seedling came from was on a white NOID plumeria. Sometimes I do see 6 petals, but it is rare. The rest of the blooms off of this seedling have all had 5 pedals. Here is the plumeria where I got this seedling from (mother): And here is an updated photo of the seedling. It looks like more orange/yellow is coming out, maybe due to the heat. Also, this pic is in direct sunlight: Here is a pic of Musk Rainbow, that has similar colors in similar areas on the petals (pink/orange/yellow). Maybe this is the father?...See MoreLoveplants2 8b Virginia Beach, Virginia
