I think a mirror is a great idea and would make that area feel larger. Get a Hangman mirror hanger at Home Depot, holds 200 lbs., is SO easy to put up, and it will definitely hold a mirror. Keep in mind, though, that mirrors are expensive. Love

I hear what you're saying about the mirror, and putting it on the 2 plate wall would sort of be precarious. However, I think putting it on the back wall where the wire art piece is would be ok. Pull the table out just a tad for good measure and I think you would be fine. Then just make sure it's hung securely. That would definitely open things up. Then just hunt for the right picture for the plate wall. That's what I would do if it were me.

If I remember correctly from your previous posts, the art is over sized? I think it will make a big statement there and agree with Annie that I'd leave it plain. I think a mirror will just clutter it up. I'd at least hang the bottle art and live with it for a while before deciding. It might look empty to you at first, but give yourself time to adjust.

I misunderstood your post, so please disregard previous suggestion about mirror on back wall. However, it's sort of closed in there, might want something else. But, as others have suggested, no harm in leaving it at that for awhile and see what you think.

I love your wine picture and I love the mirror. Considering the space I would be concerned about someone knocking into whatever you hang...I had that problem in my breakfast room.
I was told by a decorator that you shouldn't place a mirror in the dinning room where a guest/diner would be able to watch their self eating. This after I had a wall-to-wall floor-to-ceiling mirror installed...too bad. But I do place myself facing the mirror when I have dinner guest just in case.

I'd leave the sidewalks blank. The picture on the end wall will be nice...love it

I'd pull the curtain back, which should make it feel less enclosed and nothing on the side walls. Your art piece will be enough.

I would replace the black chair cushions and place mats with one of the colors in the picture. I think by adding color and the picture it would bring the eye more to those than to the smallness of the room. I vote for the Aqua at the left of the picture.

agree with trying nothing on the wall for the time being. and, YES, change the black seats cushions and place mats! maybe try a couple of pretty, complementary table cloths to switch out... every time you wash/change out the tablecloth you have a bit of a different look! I loved doing that in my previous kitchen!

I ordered the canvas art and hopefully receive it next week and then decide what colors to pull from it for the chair cushions and placemats. I think I like your ideas about maybe not putting anything on the other walls for awhile and see if the canvas is enough. What kind of centerpiece do you think???I was thinking maybe some sort of vase.

Vases are almost always good, maybe a glass in one of your colors. Or a pretty glass bowl in one of the colors.

They had some gorgeous mosaic/mirror pieces at Pier1, made with acrylic instead of glass. Would add color, light, and sparkle, with less weight or breakage concern.

Adding some color in the drapes--maybe just narrow panels on the sides--would add a lot to the room, too.

ok so I am so disappointed...I received my canvas and I don't think it is large enough now. It is about 23 x 35..I think it would look nicer a little bigger. That is the largest it comes. My table is 48" wide what width should I be looking at or is the 35 ok??/ Need opinions please!
