What's the appropriate cell size for various flower variety seeds?

Hi there. We're experimenting with growing a wide variety of flowers from seed for our market garden, branching out from just vegetables. We're completely inexperienced in growing flowers and are just learning as we go.

How can we determine the appropriate cell size for various flower varieties? We have 1" cells in 200-cell trays and 2" cells in 4-cell trays. It's much more convenient to grow in the 200 cell trays, so we'd like to use those as much as possible for starting our seeds, but only for those varieties that will do well in such a small cell. For example, what cell size is needed to start large flowers like gerbera daisies and dahlias from seed? How about smaller flowers?

What would be perfect is a table or guide that shows what size cell to start seeds in, how long they need before being transplanted to a bigger cell or pot, and then how long they can stay in that pot until they need to be transplanted outside. Does this exist?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give us. Much appreciated!
