Please check my water softener sizing

The postings in this forum are a great source of information and I have learned a lot by reading the advice that has been offered by Justalurker and Aliceinwonderland. I am planning to online purchase a water softener online and install myself. My home has four bathrooms and the four adults that use an average of 7,500 gallons of water monthly. The Jacuzzi tub is used frequently and outputs 13.5 gpm. The home has city water with a 1" meter. It does not presently have a water softener installed, but it is plumbed for one with a 1" PVC line. A test by a local company provided the following information.

Hardness: 17 gpg
Iron Value: <.5ppm

Manganese:< .1 ppm

Chlorine: 1.07 ppm
pH Value: 7.0

I am planning to use guidance that has been provided to others and purchase a Fleck 7000SXT with Purolite C100X10- 10% crosslink resin and

10x54" Resin Tank

32mm Distributor Tube w/Bottom & Top Basket

Gravel Support Media

12 gpm service flow rate

2.5 gpm backwash flow rate

Fleck Valve Connection: 1" NPT PVC

7000 Bypass Valve

15x17x36 Rect Brine Tank w/ Salt Grid & 2310 Safety Float Assembly

The company that tested the water recommended two pounds of resin, but I am concerned that is oversized. I would appreciate feedback on my plans prior to purchase as well as programing assistance.
