Grow zucchini Crostata Romanesco on a trellis?

We grew & liked (flavor/texture) zucchini Crostata Romanesco in a raised bed last season. But that plant was just enormous & eventually hung over the edge of the bed. We had to cut off the growing end of the plant, at which point it stopped producing.

An internet search suggests the zucchini can be trained onto a trellis. I know that works fine with cucumbers, but it's a little hard to imagine given the size & weight of zucchini Crostata Romanesco.

Any thoughts?
