What Do You Think? - New Capital Open Burner Range
Comments (150)Dr Jo Black knobs (similar to most other ranges) are not an up charge they are simply not available..... The Grey knobs are standard on the Culinarian range as per most pictures on the Culinarian website, but you can change to the red ones at no cost should you wish. I don't think any of the pictures are a true reflection of the real color of the Red /Cabernet / Maroon knobs. I don't think that Capital are trying to promote themselves as a "Bespoke" company, and I hope I have not painted them as such. They are however trying to accommodate SOME of the wishes of the Garden Web Posters which is a good thing. If they tried to accommodate everyone the spec book would be huge and unaffordable. Anytime anyone asks for something different companies charge for that change, be it Bluestar, Wolf or anyone else....See MoreCapital 36 '' , 6 burners, self clean--vent needed

Comments (6)mrd2217- I chose Capital because of the great reviews I read on here. Also, I wanted all burners and Capital is one of the few companies that makes this configuration in a 48" range. I had a 48" Viking with griddle before and it had some ignition problems in the beginning but they got solved. I really liked that range, but I feel like I'm getting more bang for my buck with the Capital. I have also heard great things about Capital's customer service. I called over there yesterday for a propane conversion kit and they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. It doesn't seem like you can really go wrong with Capital....See MoreDCS 30" 4 Burner vs. 30" Capital Connoisseurian
Comments (1)Does DCS make a 4 burner range - I thought they only made 5 burner 30" ranges. I have a 12-year old DCS all gas and am still very pleased with it. One big difference between the DCS and the Capital is that the DCS has sealed dual stacked burners and the Capital has open burners. Many on this forum favor open burners but I'm pleased with the sealed burners particularly the very low simmer I can achieve. An important issue is that both ranges require good ventilation - probably 600 CFMs. Are you planning an island hood over the range? You might want to consider putting the range against an outside wall - you'll have more, less expensive options for venting....See More59 Dodge
