Gill, you can use the backspace button to delete pics in the message box.

Well I looked- no luck. I think the old (good) gardenweb had a place in your profile to post your address if you were willing to be contacted but I don't see that in this one. Anyone know about this? Min

Hi Greenclaws - You only have a limited time to edit once you've posted, so you may not be able to delete the photo now. If you are still able, I've found that the backspace doesn't always work, but if you use your mouse to highlight the entire photo and then hit delete that usually works. If you still want the photo gone, I can make that happen - just let me know. Glad to see that you're back and I hope that things are looking up for you!

Hi Min3 - Email addresses are no longer posted, but you can send someone a private message if they've enabled it on their profile settings. If someone has opted in, you'll see a 'Message' button on the front page of their profile. (Click on the photos to enlarge.)

To enable these settings, just click on 'Your Houzz' in the top corner of the page and then 'Edit Profile' and then look for 'Advanced Settings' on the left side of the page. Once there, scroll down to 'Privacy Settings' and you'll see a pull down menu that you can set to allow others to message you.

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I just hadn't got much interest in anything, but I've realised I have good friends here even though I've never met any of you.

Tamara, no worries re the extra photo, it can stay :) The edit function was still there as I tried to delete as soon as I put the pic in the wrong place, I tried highlighting it but it insisted on highlighting the whole post! I have already got the 'allow users to msg me and allow anyone to msg me' activated....or so I thought??

Tamara, I have a photo posted in my Ideabook which keeps showing up upside down. I changed the size several times and it still only posts upside down. Is there a way to edit my picture and turn it around? Thanks, jen

HI Jen - Is it showing upside down in your Ideabook or is it upside down when you are linking to it? Can you tell me which Ideabook and I'll take a look.

I found another shot that I replaced it with. I was using a photo from my files and it was right side up. I read somewhere that photos could be adjusted in 'projects' with an editing arrow that turned the image. I don't see that offered at the 'Ideabooks' where I posted my pictures. Is this something that your tech people could add to Ideabooks or make it easier to find? Thanks, Jen

UPDATE; I just return the upside down photo to my 'Crafts' Ideabook.

Hi Jen,

If you uploading a photo to your Ideabook, you can easily edit and rotate it. I went in and rotated it a 1/4 turn and you'll see it standing sideways instead of upside down now. Just look for the 'Edit' button under the photo. It will show up when you click on your photo or mouse over it.

If you are uploading a photo directly to your post and it shows upside down, you can't edit it. I'd suggest adding it to an Ideabook or your computer first and editing there.
