Don't know about the hood, but the sink is not a very heavy grade of SS. I don't think that matters that much, except that it will probably be noisy if that's a concern. You might want to add your own soundproofing.

Well, thanks guys for compliments about my kitchen. It's been 5 years now & we still love it and are very happy with the performance of everything we have. The material I lined my cupboard with is the Hafele Undersink Matting and it's worked out very, very well. We cut the strips to size & then hot glued it together. It's fitted exactly into the cabinet. We actually like this set up very much & use it all the time for very wet items. We've not had any damage after all these years. The Hafele product keeps the moisture away from the cabinet. We love having our counterspace available with the added benefit of hiding all the drying plates, glasses, and utensils. I'd thought about upgrading to a more professional set up, but decided against it b/c this setup works just fine and I'm not messing with the cabinet structure itself at all. Why bother, I figure. I honestly do not know why you are worried about your dish drainer. It looks fine on your countertop, especially since your appliances are white. In fact, it looks like a lovely kitchen that is USED by actual people. Since when are we not allowed to live in our houses? The dishes in the top rack of my dishwasher are never dry, especially the plastic cups/sippy cups that are necessary with small children. I run the DW (almost) every night, transfer the wet items to the drainer in the morning, and put away the dry items when I return from work each day. When we have a party, I tuck my drainer under the sink. (But a nearby closet would work just as well.) If you decide to use a towel instead, remember to angle your pots/glasses/bowls to allow air to circulate to the inside. Otherwise, your pan will be dry on the outside and wet on the inside. (Sometimes I'll lay a wooden spoon under the first pan to lift it off the counter then lean all the other pans against it.) I use towels for overflow items, but the draining rack dries dishes faster.

Jeesh, just wrote a reply and it went to wonderland. When answering I was in my own world and realized later that you didn't say if one was needed on the counter or the in the sink. I was thinking sink, 12" deep, since a new 36" single has been installed and need to corral dishes for the dish washer. Are you looking for a counter dish drainer, with silverware and glass/cup holder? Plus 12" wide, not deep. I was only thinking dish, which a lid holder could easily be used for getting the length and width. Go to Amazon, they have tons of selections. You could connect two with clips sold at hardware stores.
