Need a very short walk-on groundcover
Comments (5)Thanks everyone. I've decided to put a potted plant in front of that door so it can be moved when necessary. We do have a raised platform that Hubby made just for when maintenance is needed on the water heater, but he doesn't really want to have to store it. A pot will look nice there for height to balance out the other very tall plants along the same bed. Thanks again everyone for your suggestions. Jen...See MoreOne shrub and one tree needing ID
Comments (11)I don't know about the smell of olives but no.1 looks an awful lot like a Rhododendron. No 2 is possibly a Dogwood but That's just a tentative idea based on the leaf shape and veining. Comments (2)Hi, It sounds like you have a break in the wire, not a short. Unless there has been digging, the wire is probably not cut. It is more likely to be the common wire, because this wire goes to each valve, meaning there a lots of places that it could have become disconnected. Try visually checking the common wires at each valve, and make sure that all wires are secure. If none of this works, try to rent or borrow a valve finder from a commercial irrigation supply house. You can use this unit to trace the wires from the clock to valve, and it will show you where the break is. A simple way to test the wires continuity is to remove the black wire from the clock and tie the wires together at the valve, connect white to black. Now use your meter at the clock to check resistance (ohms) across the black wire to the white wire, it should be 0 or very close. This would confirm a break in the wires but will not tell you if it is the black wire or the white one. Good luck....See MoreLooking for double wall ovens with one full size, one short
Comments (9)You're laughing but people do put a pair of ranges side by side rather than getting a 60" range, for instance. Because 30" ranges are mass produced, two cost significantly less. Look around some more. You do not need either a speed oven or a steam oven. They're nice. I have one of each. But you don't need it. The issue is your desire for a compact double oven unit. How small is your kitchen that saving a few inches would really help? Is it the oven height issue, really? Or the not wanting to give over space. Usually when you stack separate units, like a combi-steam oven over a full sized oven, by the time you've put in the necessary cabinetry and supports, you're not really saving much vertical space. A single unit double oven saves space because there's only one control panel. There are a number of combo units with a convection-microwave or speed oven and a regular oven, many of them at accessible prices. GE and Bosch are both in the mid-range. I don't know what your budget is, but I wouldn't want one of the lower end ones. Remember, when it fails, you lose both ovens if they're a single unit. If the issue is really the height of the ovens, consider put two side by side, or even one here and one there. If the issue is that you really don't need the second oven, or not very often, consider whether a portable oven would suffice for the extra duty. Breville countertop ovens are very well regarded and many people like them better than their low end wall ovens. Nesco roasters come in many sizes and can do many of the things that an oven can. There are also catering grade freestanding convection ovens. If your kitchen is too small to pull one out for the holidays, for instance, you can use a portable on any heat proof surface that isn't being used while company is there, such as the top of the dryer, or a desk. There are all kinds of ways of solving the problem, but first, define what your function needs are....See Morebrown_panda
