The cabinets are done in 'whitetail' by Sherwin Williams… they look more creamy in these photos because the walls have not been painted and are still stark white plaster (literally plaster since we gutted the kitchen and installed insulation in walls) I wanted a 'warm' white since the kitchen is my 'calm' happy place and I wanted to feel 'soothed' at the end of a busy day - I think the whitetail achieved this… it's all being painted as I write this - the walls are being painted in BM Edgecomb gray which is a lovely complement to the countertops (highly recommend this combo) and feels very fresh in the space since it's a small kitchen

Any final pics ? We are starting our kitchen renovation and doing Victoria Falls on the Island and comboing with a gray quartz on the countertops would love to see your final with the walls painted

Could you tell me the brand , tile size and name of your backsplash ? We may go with a light slate color but I like the gray too

The paint color (edge comb gray) looks a little darker in low light but changes throughout the day depending on sunlight - I have the same color in dining which has more light/windows and it looks like a light gray there a lot of the day ... again an overcast day since it's snowing so hard to get the best photos!

Beautiful, Pippin! Thanks so much for posting! I went with Benjamin Moore Titanium on my walls - I have to say, figuring out paint color was quite the challenge! Victoria Falls has so much green AND gray plus a tinge of blue in it, which made it hard to find a color that complemented all those tones in the stone. At least that was my experience - maybe it was my slab? But whenever I looked at a greenish gray paint next to it, the counter looked blue gray. And whenever I looked at a bluish gray paint, the counter looked more green! Never mind factoring in time of day and lighting. Lol My backsplash is a creamy white so for our kitchen, I think Titanium strikes a decent balance - it has enough green in it to work with the cream and the gray. Gray Owl was runner up. And I totally agree about the lighting - I have yet to get a decent photo of my countertops. I am impressed you were able to capture the beauty of Victoria Falls so well! It's a gorgeous stone.

I have used edgecomb in another house as well as in the bedrooms of this house... the kitchen is open to the dining and I painted the dining first - if I hadn't already painted the dining edgecomb gray I think I would have gone with a different gray (love gray owl btw) however when the EG is right up against the Victoria falls it looks like a perfect match

Oakley, the backsplash tile was manufactured by Adex and it is from their Ocean line. The name of the tile is Caspian Deco and I got it in Surf Gray. http://adexusa.com/312-decorative-accesories

So after living with our Victoria Falls countertop for a few months, I can attest to how resilient it is. So far, no etching or staining to report. Yay! And we have oil, vinegar, sauce, wine drips or spills all the time. However, one word of caution: We have a set of rubber/plastic "cutting boards" that are relatively thin - really more like a cutting mat, than a real board. We used to use them with abandon on our old formica countertops. However, I recently discovered scratches on our new, beautiful countertop - yikes! They are now officially banned in our kitchen. But I wanted to pass this info on to y'all...

If I remember right, it ran around $50 per square foot.

I was never given a square foot price. The stoneyard where I found my slabs would only talk to the fabricators and, in the end, we only got an "all in" price from the fabricators. My recollection, however, is that it was more expensive than the softer quartzites (e.g., Fantasy Brown) but less expensive than some of the harder quartzites (e.g., Taj Mahal). But closer to latter than the former. It was no bargain but so worth it!!!

I bought it from Granite Design Center in Richardson, 972-744-0600. I was very happy with them. Their designer is Maya. I went to their showroom and picked out the slab I wanted. Just let me know if you are interested in coming to see my kitchen. My VF is leathered or honed (I'm not really sure which), and it looks different from the polished, but I like it. Although the polished is beautiful, too. I have had it almost a year, and have had no etching or staining whatsoever. Maya's cell phone is 214-881-6122, and you could call her to see if she can get the VF for you. After I bought my VF and my backsplash from her, she told me one of the large showrooms in Dallas had my combination on display. I was honored!

This quartzite is a harder stone than granite so it is extremely resilient... mine has not stained, etched, scratched etc and it has had everything on it including my children's paints - it alkylation wipes off

They called mine Perla light, but my countertop guy said it was basically the same as Victoria Falls. Here’s a few pics of recent install. Do you guys thing an Astoria grey backsplash will work with this even though the countertop has more greens in it?

I just ordered mine. In love with it. Not sure if I should get a white sink or stainless steel.
My cabinets are grayish/taupe. Confused on a back splash too. Any ideas would be appreciated

We just did VF quartzite with white (BM Chantilly Lace) cabinets and a linen look porcelain floor. We installed white fireclay sinks and polished nickel faucets. Lighting is the key! It changes everything! Still debating the backsplash, too. See below, tho pics are posting pretty askew
